Rockies hit left handed pitchers. That's the reason Xavier Cedeno and Dan Jennings were cut by the Brewers for this series. Unfortunately, it's assumed that lefthander Miley's offspeed pitch , the cutter, will neutralize the Rockies. It won't. Miley had two consecutive bad outings before this one where he lasted only 3 innings at home against Detroit and got knocked out early in Pittsburgh. Also, Miley was hit for 3 runs last time he pitched against the Rockies in August. That's when Miley still had his stuff. Miley has tailed off and apparently Counsel didn't take heed to that. Chase Anderson would've fared better for this matchup. Chase Anderson was cut for this series which is a huge mistake by Counsell. I'm shocked that Chase Anderson and Zach Davies were cut. Whose going to start the next game for the Brewers after this loss? Woodrich was only good for suprise value, that won't work a 2nd time through.
