Roy Halladay v. Josh Johnson (Marlins 6-0-1 in 1st half with JJ)

I’ve won more money betting on Josh Johnson in the first half (6-0-1) than I have any other two pitchers combined so far this season so I’m going to keep betting on him until he finally loses one. Yes, he is going up against Roy Halladay, but the trade off is Johnson is getting plus money at home.

In 7 games so far this season Johnson has given up 3 total runs in the first half with 2 of them being earned.

In 7 games so far this season Halladay has given up 5 total earned runs in the first half.

Both of these guys have pitched insane in the first 5 innings so far and if they do get roughed up it has always come in the second half.  Unless one of them is having a terrible day or there are multiple errors committed I don’t see how this one goes over in the first half.

1st Half Under

I’m expecting 3. If it was 2.5 I might have to rethink it.

I think this game will probably come down to the later innings. And considering the Marlins’ bullpen usually pitches a few innings and they love to blow games for Johnson and the fact that Halladay tends to give up a run or two late, I’m just taking the first half to avoid that crap shoot.

If Johnson wasn’t 6-0-1 in the first half I would just be betting the first half under because it could easily go either way. It’s not a stretch to say it could come down to a single pitch.
