I went to college with the GM and Scouting Director for KC.
They built up the WS teams, tore it down and rebuilt it.
The other guy, Dayton Moore grew up in the 90's with the braves.
He's the asst gm of the WS winning rangers.
Dayton was actually their boss in KC and the new owner forced him out .

Admittedly I don't follow the back office movements too much, but do recall Dayton Moore being surprised by his dismissal. You gotta admire what some of these guys manage to accomplish with all the variables, unknowns, and situations out of their control that they have to plan around and deal with while building successful programs.
