exactly. who cares posada had a great career if he stinks now? the 5-9 hitters yesterday were basically automatic outs based on posada's horrbile season and nunez, pena, cervelli and garcia hitting cmon?
i mean garcia pitched a great game and posada lucked out and hit a HR so congrats the yanks won.
but that lineup was a disgrace
barbosa- im a yankee fan too. just a frustrated one.. I kinda lost respect for them when my father and me went to see them in kansas city one summer and i was the only kid in the whole hotel. a goofy, skinny 11 year old kid or what not and the hotel personnel told us "the yankee request that we leave the hotel" it was to much for them to take a second and sign an autogragh for a young kid who traveled from jersey to KC to see them play. The nicest yankee was girardi who actually talked to us. my dad told paul oneill, "we came all the way from jersey and respect how hard he plays" he had nothing to say back. I got oneill, pettiette, torre, mike stanton and a few others autographs before we were FORCED to leave hotel.
I was the only kid in the hotel too. they said when the orioles were in town cal ripken would sign for hundreds of kids.
Regardless back to the thread and the Nats. just wanted to bring that up to show why it seems I have bitter feelings towards the yanks

just the fact they are 1-8 against the bosox and 0-6 at home against them. makes me think they cant beat good teams. also, i dont see how garcia and colon will be able to keep up there surprising solid pitching all yr.
