Seattle Mariners (-110)
So Seattle has lost 9 in a row.. are they still fade material? No. They had the misfortune of running into a hellishly hot Angels (who came into that series 15-6 in their previous 21) and the hottest team to date in the league, the Texas Rangers (who came into that series on a 7-0 run). In both of these match-ups the Mariners played a 4 game series against the top 4 pitchers in each rotation. Even a good team would have struggled during that stretch. Now they're up against a Toronto team that hasn't been a favorite since the last week of June, when they finished a series against the Pirates and then faced Philadelphia's 5th starter. To make things worse for the Jays, they're likely to be without Bautista again tonight, who is nursing a sprained right angle that he suffered against the Yankees last week.
Felix might be the reigning King in Seattle, but Michael Pineda will soon have his thrown. He has a 3.03 ERA, averages a strike-out per inning pitched and has a K/BB ratio of 3.5 on the road. He hasn't missed a start all season and has lasted 6 or more innings in all but 3 outings. Despite all these innings pitched, he's managed his pitch count very well by staying below 100 pitches in every game since June 1st. If his numbers are not enough to impress you, then consider this: The odds-makers have set Pineda at a pick-em line or a favorite in every game since his first career start against Texas on the road in April (this includes games against NYY, PHI, TEX, DET, ATL). Vegas likes him, and so do I. The last time he played Toronto he went 7 complete scoreless innings before giving up a base-runner that eventually scored after he was pulled with over 100 pitches. This kid is a stud, and I expect nothing different from him tonight. Bautista likely out is just icing on the cake. I'll just have to hope that Seattle's bats can put a few runs on the board for Pineda to work with. If they weren't such a poor hitting team, this line would have to be at least -130.

Good catch.. lets hope I can pick winners better than I can pick the correct word. I like that angle, definitely a let down spot for the Jays. They're watching their division (excluding Baltimore) run away from them.

Silly..Seattle has trouble on the road and trouble hitting lefties. Maybe an UNDER..but a play on Seattle could cost you some $$$ GL!
