I swear this is not BS. This is a business they have their model and algorithms.
This is how teams been sneakily losing and throwing games and screwing your ML parlays
if you haven't noticed, once positioning has been established in standings (playoff teams they want) they rig the results so the standings stay the same the whole way. That's the whole concept. It's crazy nobody has seen these patterns. Follow the results and standings and you can really decode this league.
At this point there will be no more significant moves up or down in standings for playoff teams. They will all stall and alternate wins and losses to keep their exact position. That's what they have been doing.
MLB will rig the games so the positioning stays the same. It's all about the scheduling and standings.
This only applies to playoff teams and in the playoff hunt teams. Keep in mind if a team is in a comfortable position above another team like a 3-4 game lead they will almost certainly throw their next game/s, if a loss doesn't hurt their position and move them down in the standings. Once it gets close and their lead becomes a 1 or 1.5 game lead in standings, they will win to stay ahead.
Some examples from the past week - Dbacks. Dbacks were getting close to Dodgers prior to Tampa series and MLB won't allow that (MLB has rigged and locked Dodgers as division winners). So that's why MLB had to stall Dbacks. So Dbacks rigged and got swept by Tampa. Dbacks position didn't get affected. They are still in wildcard race, 4.5 games ahead of Mets.
Another team is Atlanta last week. They could afford to lose two in a row to Giants and Angels. Because of a 2-3 game cushion ahead of Mets (last wildcard position). Then when the Mets caught up to -1 game in standings, Atlanta started winning again and Mets lost to Fish to push them back. They are just stalling and alternating results to keep their wildcard position ahead of Mets.
You have to check who their rival is playing. I could go on and on. Basically if it's a 1-2 game lead they win. If it's 3,4,5 game lead they can have room to rig and throw games.
Using my rigged theory, these are teams on Monday that could rig and throw their games
1. Houston (take Red Sox ML)
Houston has a 4 game cushion ahead of Seattle. They have 6th best record in AL, but they just have to finish ahead of Seattle to get in. Seattle with negative away record has upcoming series vs Dodgers. They are probably not going to win all games vs LA.
Houston can afford to lose this first game vs Boston and stall and probably still be 4 games ahead of Seattle.
They also have to keep Boston in the hunt and give their fans false hope. Boston not winning division, team they have to catch is now KC who they are 3.5 games behind. They can't let Boston fall behind too many games yet.
2. Arizona (take Miami ML)
Dbacks have 2.5 lead over Braves but more importantly 4 game lead over Mets (Dbacks just have to finish above Mets to at least achieve last wildcard position) Braves have series vs Phillies, Mets @ Baltimore. Both those teams that also need wins, so wins will be shared in those series there will be no sweeps either way. Mets and Braves lose at least 1.
So that means Dbacks could afford to even throw another game. this one vs Miami, probably can afford to lose one game in this series and still have a good cushion over the teams below them.
