Knee jerk thought last night was to back the Jays RL and call it good . . . but someone pointed out the Jays struggles vs lefties, and research revealed a horrid team average and even worse win pct in games started by southpaws, this was enough to keep me away. there was seemingly a strong trend of any play last night . . . in the end i settled on under 8.5 at a good price . . . early on, this wager looked to be a poor one, but eventually the fundamentals came home to roost . . . the mariners hgorrible offense was made worse by a strange lineup due to injuries, and the Jays did not keep going yard vs the lefties.
moving forward, i get the Jays bats facing their preferred type of starter, and the mariners offense is still piss poor . . . Jays RL seems like the play . . . in addition, the Mariners have one of the worst scouting departments, and it's been like that for a long time, go back and look at the 2001 campaign, and note who the mariners lost to . . . for years and years, this organization has struggled vs new pitchers . . . the organziation does not preach proper preparation in the minor leagues, and they players bring bad habits to the majors. they have no advance scouts, they have some intern writing reports based on what he sees on tv. it's very likely, most of the hitters (not ichiro) will go to the plate tonight and have little idea what kind pitcher Drabek is, and they will have even less of a plan.

will wait on lineups re: a total play, but last night seemed easier than tonight, with two lefties starting . . . not as inclined to go under today at the same price as i got last night, and i won't get that price tonight, it will cost me at least 20 cents extra for the same pleasure. if i had to choose, i would choose under.

Thank you for your detailed write up -- helps a lot.
I've been mulling over this game for the last few minutes and I had already decided to go for a RL bet on the Jays for today's game -- your info helps me in this regard.
And I've noted that the weather conditions are not strongly favorable for hits out the park (a 9mph NNW coming in the right field)... but it's best to check the conditions immediately prior to the start of the game before pulling the trigger for this game, it seems.

this is a better offensive lineup . . . carp can hit a bit, and Bard is an upgrade over Moore at the plate . . . i can see this lineup scoring 3 runs, maybe 4 of they get lucky . . . but i do not expect this offense to keep pace with toronto . . . i will avoid a total play, and likely stick with Jays RL

mozart . . . imo, ballpark factors have to taken into account when considering wind . . . for instance, in toronto, the roof sits over centerfield . . . i wouldn't make any play based on wind at skydome, unless i had the chance to walk out and feel the wind. . .

The only reason Im watching this game tonight, is to see Ichiro get one step closer to 200 hits. Really hoping he gets some rest and does it at home...but I doubt we see it. Guy plays every game.
