Sunday 3-3: Could have been worst, could have been better, but none the less a split. Ended up turning a slight profit on the day with all 3 wins being + money plays (2 dogs and 1 RL). Hopefully last weeks profitable one rolls into Monday and this week.
I have given up on totals, they are hands down my weakest point when it comes to baseball. I might dabble into team totals a bit more, but I have absolutely no desire to play combined game totals anymore. I also am probably gonna be looking into playing more RLs since they have treated me well this season. It would be pretty foolish to continue playing something I am struggling with and ignore something that's been going well.
Monday Bases
Mets RL (+100): I initially had concerns on whether or not Carlos Gonzales will be in the line up. But I felt if I waited any longer or for that news to be announced, this would become a negative really quick. I looked up Cargo's career #s against Dickey and like what I saw. Cargo is batting .167 and is 1-6 lifetime against Dickey. So whether or not he plays, I am still gonna play this. Another missing big missing piece for the Rockies will be Michael Cuddyer. He was placed on the 15 game DL. Those are 2 big pieces potentially being out of the line up for the Rockies, with 1 of them being confirmed. The Mets will also have a major pitching advantage with the Dickey against Colorado's Alex White. On the year the knuckleballer Dickey is 15-4 with a 2.89 era. He loves pitching at Citi field where he is 7-1 with a 2.66 era and impressive WHIP of 0.95. His career #s against the Rockies isn't great (7.66 era) but those #s really don't have any stock in this game. Dickey will be facing a very young Rockies team who majority of them will be facing Dickey for the very 1st time. This of course will be give Dickey the major advantage in familiarity factor. This would be a big advantage for any elite pitcher, but even more so a knuckleballer, which is a much tougher pitch to pick up as a young hitter. The Rockies will be sending Alex White to the hill. On the year he is 2-6 with a 5.74 era. He has struggled mightily on the road, coming in with a 1-3 record and a 6.97 era. He will of course be on the well documented 75 pitch limit in this game. This could bring in a taxed bullpen for extended work. I feel comfortable laying the RL and playing the full game on this one, despite the Mets bullpen struggles, because I feel Dickey has a solid chance of going at least 8 innings. This will eliminate the middle relieve, and hopefully we only gotta sweat the 9th.
I have a few other leans but waiting on some information in those before I make any plays on them. I am also gonna be very short on time tomorrow due to a all day monday meeting... so if I play any leans, they won't included a long write up... Sorry guys. Best of luck to everyone on Monday
