i have money on the CHW, granted they look like a joke that my daughters softball team could man handle, we will be seriously thanking the baseball gods if they grant us a win
say your prayers for a DET pen meltdown... porcello only 90 pitches through 7 innings

I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that the Sox come back and win this game. Neither one of these teams have been able to close teams out this season and Valverde has flirted with danger liek his last 100 save opportunities it seems. Not sure how much life the Sox have in themselves today but if they want this, they can still get it!

This is where Ozzie needs to treat this like a playoff situation. He should have Sale in here to keep this game in check but instead he sticks with Floyd. Just go to the guys who can give you a chance to tie this game up and then worry about who will get the last outs later in the game when you get the lead! (if you get it that is)

2 things. Morel should have ran to third and touched the base right there instead of thrown to second. He had Damon by a mile. Replay's show this. # 2 why did Ozzie go to Thorton after Rayburn, instead of before Rayburn with Damon? This what I mean about Ozzie lol his logic is retarted. Why did Floyd start that inning? To face Rayburn? Is Rayburn that serious of a hitter that you have to have a match up with him? I think Damon is the guy you look for the match up with right? I fear him more then Rayburn. So instead Ozzie lets Floyd get the first 2 runners on, then goes to Thoronton who promptly retires the lefty and righty he see's. Ozzie should be fired, not because of his personality but because of his baseball IQ!

I Guess all we need is a 3-Run Jimmy Jack and we can call it a brand new ballgame....I do tend to like the pen of the CHW more so over then i do the Det pen... but thats not saying much

I got no money on this game but I have the mlb package so I watch a lot of games just to get feels for teams etc. etc. The only thing I can say about the White Sox is that # 1 there bullpen has been attrocious. And I think this is Kenny Williams problem has a G.M. Everyone always pats him on the back for being so gutty and creative but he never fills needs, he just takes chances with guys who are names. I mean, Manny wasn't going to get the White Sox 6 outs in the 8th and 9th, so really, why did they get him? # 2 problem with the White Sox is Ozzie. Not his personality, his ignorant decision making as a manager. He just looks lost. Maybe it's the personal, maybe it's he just doesn't know what he's doing but his moves have cost this team big. Especially his bullpen decisions in terms of staying with or keeping in guys. # 3 the last problem is the Twins. They won't stop winning and their attitude is the opposite of the White Sox. When they need a win, they get it. When the White Sox need a win, they never do. That's why the Twins have this division locked up!
#1 - They are a very good bullpen who just had a bad stretch. Thornton and Putz have been their two best pitchers and they both were pitching injured before going on the DL. They are both back and healthy now. Santos has been great all year as well. Now they just added this kid Sale who they drafted in the 1st round a couple months ago and he comes into today with a 0.66 era. Jenks isn't a dominating closer by any means these days but he's a guy that can take the 9th inning role and get the job done the majority of the time. One real bad stretch has given everyone the assumption that this is a real bad bullpen which is not the case.
#2 - I go back and forth on Ozzie. He'll make some bad decisions (in my mind) but so will every manager in baseball. Overall, I haven't second guessed him too much which I couldn't say when he first took the job. He was brutal then, I think he's pretty solid now.
#3 - No doubt about the Twins. They play the same every year and they have a great attitude. You can't say the sox don't get wins when they need it. Just in the last week: On Monday they tied it in the 8th and won in the 10th, On Sunday they entered the 9th down 2 and scored 4 times, on Saturday they took the lead for good in the 7th, on Wednesday they were down 3 in the 8th and then scored 4 runs and added 1 in the 9th, on Tuesday in a tie game they scored 3 in the 9th to take the lead for good, and on Monday they scored 4 in the 11th to win that game.
