Lan...I just like the Over 8.5 in the Mets/Giants game. Maine is coming into the game with an injured forearm so hes not likely to last long. Zito has been horrible all year and is good for at least 4 runs in 5 innings.

"Maine pledged to make his next start on Thursday but told the NY Daily News that he now believes he suffered a strain and not a cramp in his left forearm during Saturday's outing against the Phillies. (Jul 9)"

Thanks for the info about Maine. The Giants play is counting on Maine to do his usual thing, but getting into the pen early could pay off too. As for Zito, I think he might be turning a corner, but regardless, he has always been decent against the Giants but this line is not factoring for an average Zito but a disastrous Zito. This is where I disagree.

giants win this game more than 34% of the time so i think this is a smart play.
Absolutely they do. Don't like that Bengie is missing but playing Schneider over Castro is a signficant downgrade for the Mets and adding Nick Evans and Reyes Jr. won't help them either.

PS- I always appreciate your optimism and confidence and have not mistaken it for cockiness or arrogance.
There is a big difference in that a cocky and arrogant SOB would not lend nearly as much time as you do to helping others.
Thanks again for the daily threads and good luck today!
Couldn't agree more. I never take Lanny's titles as cocky. Like you said, if he was that arrogant, he wouldn't spend the time he does posting his picks. Don't let the douchebags get you down Lanny!!!! We appreciate it.

First of all I appreciate your picks. Secondly last night your Brewers and A's picks were not given the correct amount of units. A's pick should have been 3.2 units instead of 2 and the Brewers pick should have been 4.4 units instead of 4. I remember from a previous thread and how you usually declare yours picks that you ALWAYS show the number of units placed not number of units to win.
I really appeciate what you do and love that you keep your overall record posted (unlike 90% of cappers here), but lets make sure we keep the numbers straight.

Thanks for your feedback but there is a major misunderstanding. You are correct in that you said the number of units posted is the number of units placed, hence when I posted that the Milwaukee play was 4 units, when I lost, I lost 4 units. When I posted that each Oakland play was 2 units, when I lost them, I lost 4 units. Let me know if you are still seeing an issue.

All units are correct come on guys...Lan is on here everyday and at the end of each day and start of the next he posts total record and units. It's not very hard to keep up with...+ 6 today, -2.5 yesterday, +17 Monday, -4.5 two tuesday's ago (EXAMPLE). It's not rocket science adding and subtracting numbers like theses...

First of all biderun you're an idiot, I never said I was right!
Lan,
For example yesterday you placed 2.3 units on the Fla/Sd U assuming to win 2 units correct? Using the Brewers for example if you Placed 4 units and would have won you would have picked up approx. 3.6 units since the line was at -110.
I pretty sure this is what you were saying please confirm.
