Unders hit at a ridiculous rate for the first 2-4 weeks of the season.  Pitchers are in regular season mode from day one where as the hitters are seeing pitches and pitchers they haven&#x27;t seen in awhile with their good stuff.  Most of the spring these hitters see guys that will never pitch in a major league game.

Last year the Yanks were something stupid winning like 70% of their games as an underdog last year.  I am shocked at all of the Sox love on the forum today.  Sox are not as good as they have been especially their lineup.  Tampa is the second best team in the East.

&#xD;&#xA;I am not a nyy hater, last year i had them to win series at this time and put my money where my mouth was at &#x2B;400 large...that said i agree w/one coment: tb will finish second and nyy will finish 3rd. Boston is weaker hitting this year, but thier pitching is even better and a guy like lackey was meant to play for a northeast team. he only gets up when it matters, well it matters 4 out of 5 trips out in boston. massive upgrade imo. also eslbury and dustin take over this team this year and play to thier looming potential.&#xD;&#xA;take it from a sorry nat&#x27;l league guy w no dog in bosox/nyy fight the yankees are gonna swoon, they have to buck too many trends that are against them (primarily age related) thier outfield is below average and mariano/posada/jeter they will all 3 deteriorate. (jeter the least imo) i just think the yankees have a tough year and it may not begin tonight, but its gonna happen. id rather be on the front of the bus than catching this profit making trips fumes as the oddsmakers will keep nyy lines inflated for a good 30 games past where it becomes obvious they&#x27;re not last years jugernaut.

Yanks &#x2B;113 for 2 units&#xD;&#xA;Absolutely stunned this much love for the Sox.  Line is officially a joke.  Wasn&#x27;t even gonna take it but all of the Covers experts are on the Sox.  Never to early to start a traditional Covers bloodbath on the first game of the year.  Oh and CC will be fine.

Gambling especially baseball doesn&#x27;t work that way.  They could make that line -160 and wouldn&#x27;t stop Cards backers in the least.
