My exact thoughts. With that MO no way Cleveland doesn't finish this off. Plus Skubal out. Cleveland bullpen a lot better. Detroit very unclutch hitting today.

Was there ever a replay slowed down enough to conclusively show it wasn't a catch? That was horrible camera work if you ask me. The angle I saw anyway.

Definitely bounced off something, guess the umps are saying it was his glove.

The trajectory of the ball was going down, as soon as his glove was above it the ball floated to the back of his glove. Don’t think it’s possible but who knows. $ on Detroit and they probably didn’t want to deal with the mess of reversing it. And would the runner on 2nd have been held at third if it was reversed?

The umpires could’ve limited detroits lead to 1-0 by making the right call but really put Cleveland in a hole when carpenter took matter into his own hands
