Fiers is 9-0 in his last 9 team starts in the month of August. The number 9 represents divine completeness or also conveys the meaning of finality. The number 9 represents the end of a complete cycle. I bet against the Yanks when they were on a 9 game winning streak and they lost to the blowjays 8-2. I know that Numerology guy that post here on covers would love this kind of stuff lol.

Putting a side all the crazy mumbo jumbo trends and fantasy sh!t I think this is a good bounce back spot for the Yanks. I know they are the number one team in the AL east and teams this far ahead tend to lack motivation towards the end of the year, but I’m sure they’ll take at least 1 out of these 3 games vs the A’s. Or maybe they are on look ahead mode because they play the Dodgers next???Who knows but I’ll take a shot at the Yanks today.

Or maybe they're up against a much hungrier team that happens to be playing extremely well right now. The A's are 11-5 this month with 9 of those wins coming against teams that are above .500, and in the case of the Astros and the Yankees, way above .500. The Yankees are 15-5 this month, but 7 of those wins came against the minor league Orioles.  Only 6 of the Yankees' wins this month came against teams that are above .500, but 4 of those were against the disinterested defending champion Red Sox who were in the midst of a season-ending 8-game tailspin. The only 2 wins the Yankees own this month against a good team came last weekend against the Indians, which by the way were a pair of 1-run squeakers sandwiched in between 19-5 and 8-4 blowout losses. I'll be very surprised if the shorthanded Yankees (no Luke Voit, no Aaron Hicks, no Edwin Encarnacion) can defeat the A's even once.  Very surprised.

I'll bet simply on the fact that the Yanks are infrequently a dog. A's cheap ml it is...

If your giving the Yanks no chance to win one game out of three vs the A’s then with your logic I’m guessing the Dodgers will blow the Yanks the hell out .
