So you were being serious? I team who's 3 and 4 hitters have career OPS+'s of 95 and 102 is a legitimate threat while a pitcher that was 11-11 with a 4.02 ERA last is going to win 20 in his 2nd year with that lineup?
I guess Ive seen crazier things but not much.
The AL west is completely up for grabs in my opinion. LAA losing figging 100+runs and Lackey is Huge. Seattle has the ULITMATE CANCER in Milton Bradley so they are fucked(are rowland, fister, snell scaring anybody) And I can see both Hamilton and Kinsler having injury plagued seasons in Texas(we'll see how Vlad handles the heat) That leave's a young and extremely talented starting rotation in Oakland with a bulllpen that had the #2 WHIP last year. Everyone picked them to finish last so call me bat shit crazy but I think they have as good a shot as any to take that division.

I guess you're not smart enough to hedge if the make the playoffs. I made 20K on arizona losing the superbowl.
1st of all, football and baseball futures are 2 entirely different entities. Football is a sprint and Baseball is a marathon! In the NFL due to the cap u have parity, therefore many teams have a chance to win it all. In baseball, unfortunately that's not the case. You usually need $$$ to spend on ur team to compete for the entire season which only a handful of teams do. Of course there are instances where teams, like the Marlins or Devil Rays, but u still need hitters and the A's don't have anyone good in that Minor league line-up theirs.
And yes if I had a team 20-1 or higher in a future wager I would hedge, but this discussion is not about hedging...so I guess ur the one that is NOT that SMART!
