great pickups = bullshit and even yankee supporters would agree
great pickups are proven everyday or every start guns
pineda : hes pretty good we will just see how good, great investment though and yanks should be happy with this one
major improvement = yes
kuroda ERA ??? guess anywhere from 3.80 to 4.80, now that aint great pitching for 10 million - however its better than what they had and its only 1 year and they didnt have to trade anyone to get him
so good but not great pickups

Most of the people saying this was a great deal aren't even Yankee fans. Hell...some are Red Sox fans. How could you say this is bias? And how can someone be "bias" when all guys like me are doing is shooting down your CLAIM that they can't handle New York.

Those whole thread is hilarious. OP clearly has no idea what he's talking about. Kuroda hasn't had an ERA over 3.80 in the four years of his career, so not sure what you're talking about here...

Well, let's see. Kuroda is 41-46 with a 3.45 career era, facing the National West. Then he has the face the Pirates, Cubs, Washington and that hard hitting team, the Astros. He pitches against a good team probably 3 times a year. I'm sure he'll do well against Boston, Detroit Toronto, Baltimore, and oh yes, the LIGHT hitting Rangers.

the only reason king felix is 1 over .500 of late is the the mariners can't hit at all. they made the nyy deal for more offense, but were taken advantage of again. ny will love pineda.

Does it take a special mind set to play in New York? I have always heard that because of the pressure. Don't think these guys have the "make up" for that. How did that last Cuban pitcher work out for the Yanks. El Dugue. Whatever his name was, and Contreras
Duque was an amazing big game pitcher for the Yanks and even the White Sox
kuroda is an innings eater...perfect as a 4 or 5 for the yanks

Pineda is the real deal. 100mph heat with that nasty slider. He was just dominating hitters last year. Absolutely blowing batters away. When Pineda adds a changeup he will be unhittable.
