For today's first game, we have:

-A team that couldn't hit water if they were holding bats and fell out of a boat into the ocean (Detroit)

-Detroit's starting pitcher Daniel Norris (4.62 ERA) giving up around 2-3 runs for the F5 innings

-White Sox's starting rookie pitcher, Dylan Cease who will make his debut.

-Wind blowing in ~ 6 mph

-An O/U that opened at a rather "high" number of 9.5. In the past 10 matchups, 9.5 only appeared once and it went under.

Factoring in all these together, strangely, I'm going to go with the:

    OVER 9.5 (-110)an_nailbiter

I expect the bats to be woken up, a rookie pitcher being "broken" in and scoring that will miracously and strangley happen when all the facts are pointing to an under (poor offense, wind blowing in). If this wins, you can use your new acquired $5 to buy that cup of coffee that you'll be using to study the other evening games.

As always, bet sensilby and BOL if you tail or fade.. peace_5clover

Nobody bets $5 a game here.  And if they do, they aren't analyzing things like this the way you are.  And they sure don't care if it win or lose.

All you do is look for fishy lines and then fade the fishy line.  Fine... but how long have you been that?  Over 10 years?  Yet you still don't have the bankroll?  No wonder why you are broke.

All that analysis... just to bet $5 on the bet.  Whether you win or lose, this is just sad.  You are the Tony Bigcharles of sportsbetting.

Bet sensibly?   You aren't going to go broke betting $5 a game unless you have like a low 3 figure bankroll like yourself.

Someone like you will never grow a bankroll since you bet $5 a game.  I mean you are serious when you tell others to try freerolls.  No wonder why after 10 plus years, you are still broke with no bankroll.  Most recreational players even bet more than you.  How sad is that?  All this anaylysis... only to wager $5 a game.  Or ready to pound on team down a lot of runs getting 3.5 runs... just to bet that $5.

You seriously believed that his "5$ game" is not schtick?......

Bro...you need to get another $5 Starbucks...or is it $10 now?...and wake up...

Oh hey look! It's my PERSONAL fan, stalker and troll all rolled into one, Georgeronnie! George, thank you for taking the time to log off of your main account and onto your troll account. I'll answer some of your questions for today..

Nobody bets $5 a game here.

Oh yeah? What about the forum user by the name of "Kulsy?" Don't forget to go hit up his thread and mock him. Then again, don't bother him. He's new to posting and seems like a nice guy.

I'm glad that you're the only voice/representative for the WHOLE betting community in the WORLD. After all, there are no people who bet small that read these forums. Only people who supposedly bet hundreds and thousands of dollars or more on a bet. an_drunksick

All you do is look for fishy lines and then fade the fishy line.

Thank you for analyzing my play. If you don't like it, fine. There are different forum members on here that use different angles. In fact, there are plenty of other people here that use the same angle. Out of respect for them, I will not list their names. Since you're an inexperienced bettor, I'll tell you a little secret, "there IS NO CORRECT WAY TO CAP A GAME." surprised

Bet sensibly? You aren't going to go broke betting $5 a game unless you have a low 3 figure bank roll.

Different bettors bet different amounts for their personal reasons. A person with a high paying job may just want something small on a game to make it fun. Whereas a person with a low paying job may risk their whole paycheck on a single betting event. That's why I encourage betting responsibly. Apparently, you've never had enough friends who take a FREE or $5/$10/$20 NFL fantasy draft seriously.

Most recreational players even bet more than you.

Wow.. I didn't know that you interviewed ALL, yes every fuckin one of them, recreational players and they happened to tell you the amount that they wagered on an event. Also, they ALL coincidentally bet more than $5. Bravo.. You must be multilingual too. Vietnamese, Cantonese, Mandarin, Russian, German, you're fluent in ALL of them. Then again, you probably think that it's only Americans who wager on sports.

Tony Bigcharlies of sportsbetting is thesquare.

Who is this "Tony Bigcharlies" of sportsbetting? You know what, I don't care and I'm not going to look him up. All I know is, your lazy, dumbass paid for his picks, bet a reasonable amount on the sporting event and it ended up losing. You must have been thinking, "How could this lose? Tony is a pro handicapper?" Aww, poor Georgeronnie, still salty from his tout experiences. an_cry Well don't worry Georgeronnie, there are plenty of other touts out there for you to buy their picks at and blindly bet due to YOUR lazy ass not being able to cap a game regardless of the angle. Hey, let us know when you find a tout that DOESN'T lose ok? an_wink A tout that wins 100% of the time..

    How sad is that?

Georgeronnie, what is sad is you. You're a perfect example of a troll. Contribute absolutely nothing to this community (then again, this IS a troll account apart from your main account) all you do is criticize and you post no picks. How about you log onto your main account, come back and troll me with your main account, post some of your picks along with some reasoning and we'll see how you do?

In the meantime Georgronnie, I have about 2 weeks of comments that you need to comment on. You need to get to work quick! I want to see my past 2 weeks of comments, all bumped up so people can see how miserable you are.. *Chop *Chop, get to work Georgeronnie! peace_5

Of course other ppl bet $5 a game.  But those are usually newbies or ppl who just want some fun and some action.  They are not analyzing games to a tee or cap it as long as you... then decide whether or not to bet $5 on a game.  The difference between that guy and you is you been on this forum for over 10 years... with nothing to show for.  Still betting $5 a game like a degenerate with no bankroll.  If someone is going through this analysis and winning long term with this, you are an idiot for not betting more.

Most recreational bettors bet $10-$500 a game.  Of course much more on the lower end.  But most ppl are betting at least $50 or $100 a game.  Just because other ppl have the money to do it whether its they have the money or are just playing their rent money... well you are just upset you either don't have the money because you are broke or you can't even bet that much because that is too much money for you.

There is nothing really wrong with your capping.  Lot of ppl do that.  But what is the common denominator here?  Are they winning long term?  Nope.  I notice lot of ppl on this forum do the same thing as you.  The issue is they are not winning long term this way.  Again, nothing wrong with that.  Many ways to cap.  The issue here is you make your analysis, then act like its the right play and everyone else's play or thoughts is incorrect.  You like it when public is wrong and you are right.  Yes thats right.. ppl losing their few hundred or 1k plus bets... wow you are cheering inside yes they lost... then you win your $5 wager like a bitter person that you are.  Bitter ppl with no money like others to fail.  Misery loves company.  You like saying your bet won and then putting an emotion of other ppl sweating out the action.

Inexperienced bettor?  I bet on pinnacle and most of the major books.  I bet openers.  I have moved lives when i max bet UFC and other derivative bets.  Also I have moved overnight lines when i max bet them.  Don't believe me?  How about the next time im going to max bet a few wagers, I will let you know and post it right before I bet it.  Then look at the line movement for that game.  And watch it move a few cents within minutes on pinnacle.  Inside you would be like... damn i wish i had the money to do that broke but im just a bitter broke $5 bettor with no bankroll.

I have filed tax returns for multiples years.  Have you done that?  You ever filed a schedule C?  Oh wait you probalby never did because you never won.  Also you wouldn't even need to file ever since betting $5 a game, you never going to make more than $600 a year in gambling anyway.  That is how sad and pathetic you are.

Also you better hope that when you ran your bankroll from a few hundred to thousands or 10k or whatever it was before you lost it back, that it wasn't in multiple years.  Why?  Because if you won 5k in one year and lost 5k the next year... you owe taxes.

Yes there are ppl with low paying job risk their whole paycheck.  Don't worry.. you will never do this ever.  You are fine betting $5 a game.  You will never go broke.  Your betting is basic degenerate betting.  $5 a game... i dont even know what to say.  Nobody cares about those $10 fantasy draft seriously.  At least ppl with money.  Seriously the way you talk, you are basically broke.  Its like you playing poker freerolls.

Tony Bigcharles is a degenerate traveling around the country.  He has a blog, look it up.  He is degenerating everywhere.  The issue though is he is really stupid and delusional.  You are on the other hand just like to go against the grain and fade the public.  So obviously you are much smarter than him.

The thing about him is he is a degen.  You are the same thing.  The difference he is betting a lot more than you... that is the sad part.  I call you the Tony Bigcharles of sportsbetting because you are broke just like him and you need to get your action down... but diffrence is you analyze something for so long... only to bet $5.

People like you would never run up a bankroll because you bet $5 a game.  You don't even have it in you because of your risk averse tendencies.  Seriously... $5 a game?  There are ppl that bet $500 a game and up and still question if they could possibly do it for a living in the future.  Its like you playing some 1 cent 2 cent online poker.. you win a few dollars... then go.. i might consider going pro soon if i do well.  Yet you have no idea how tough the stakes are as you go higher.  Of course poker and sportsbetting is not the same.

And yet you post in a thread about if you do well, maybe you might try to do it for a living?  That is the sad part.  You don't even have a bankroll.  You probably think a bankroll is $5000 for sports.  You don't have a clue about sportsbetting since you have no bankroll, probably never even filed winnings ever, or should have but did not know... probably don't even know the value of a 1/2 point.

For you to even say you might consider doing it full time when you bet $5 a game now is more delusional than i could think of.

    Ladies and Gentleman,
There you have it! The great "Georgeronnie." An individual who CLAIMS to move UFC markets with his/her bets and claims to file taxes due to him/her winning so much. I mean, it's an internet forum. You can say and be who ever you want to be. I just want to let Georgronnie know, that I am TRULY honored to have a person who bets thousands of dollars, enough to move markets and file taxes, to come troll me, TheSquare on covers.com. A person who bets $5 a game. I'm also guessing that out of spite, Georgeronnie probably bet $10k+ on the under for this game (that might explain why the line moved from 10 down to 9.5  must have been Georgeronnie's bet) and is p1ssed off that it went over. Well, Georgeronnie, thank you for the $5.  I will be enjoying my cup of coffee as I look at the odds for the evening games.
Oh, Georgeronnie, don't forget to complete your task for the day of trolling my past 2 weeks of comments where I celebrated when I won my other $5 bets. I expect ALL my comments to be highlighted and bumped.. Thanks in advance..

Georgeronnie, Maybe do some more research before you start teeing off on TheSquare. Not more than a week ago he made a post regarding swing trading and options. This is clearly beyond the realm of most of the degenerate gamblers on here. I highly doubt someone with a grasp of these financial instruments is going to be dead broke. Irrespective of his bet size or limit, TheSquare is one of the good guys on here always up for discussion and trying to help people out. How he bets is his business. How you claim to move markets betting on knuckledragging UFC markets is yours. Douche

Yeah, he/she will have to log off their main account and then log back on the "Georgeronnie" account in order to respond...

The "Georgeronnie" account is simply a trolling account specifically created for me since it was recently created within the past month..

I feel special to have my own personal troll...

First off.  Yes I do move ufc markets with my wagers.  When i max bet the opener at pinnacle which is usually $1400, it moves a few cents most of the time when i bet it.  Don't believe me?  How about the next time i'm about to do it... i post a thread here and then tell you okay a certain ufc lie will move right now.  Example i create a post and and then tell you exactly what im going to bet... then post it.  Then within 1 minute, the line would move.  Then you can look up the odds and see if the odds did move during those minutes.  Or how about i post some screenshots on it and then you can see it?  Oh wait if i do that, you going to only get bitter because you are only going to get bitter.

I have taxes filed every year.  But i have my accountant do it.  What i pay my accountant to do my taxes is bigger than your bankroll since you bet $5 a game.  Do you know what a deduction is?  Did you know you could write off your equipment?  Did you know you can only write off up to the total amount of net income you made?  Did you know if you made 100k in a year and pay taxes on it, and next year you are down 100k, well you are down money due to taxes?  Oh wait i forgot you dont have any experience with that.  Did you know that when you run your few hundred to thousands or 10k or whatever it was, if you had income for that winning year you had to file?  Probably not.  Then again someone like you would not have an issue anymore since you bet $5 a game.

Trolling you?  I have visited this forum a long time ago and just come to see what this forum is like.  What i do not like about this forum are usually ppl who act like a know it all and bet peanuts.  And seem to enjoy other ppl that like to sweat it out on their few hundred or 1k bets by trolling them with that stupid emotion thing of like wow you sweating it out.  Its like that guy that goes play blackjack... bets 5 dollars a hand then sweats the ppl who betting 500 and 1k and up and go... man this is so intense and exciting to watch... good thing i dont have to sweat it out.  That is they type of person you are.

I mean when you went from a few hundred from your freeroll money to thousands and maybe got to 10k whatever it was, must felt great right?  How did it feel having it crumble and then turning that few thousand or whatever back to zero and broke.  Did you like that feeling?  How do you feel when ppl make posts about certains wagers and get angry and sweating it out?  You like to troll them by you won your $5 bet and then putting something like man this is going to be intense when someone is sweating it out and its clearly more money than probably your bankroll?

Nobody likes that person.  You are that type of person.  HOping others fail and lose all their money because someone like you went broke so you can't like it when others win.

The square is one of the good guys here?  Have you seen his posts?  He enjoys it when other fellow covers members are sweating it out in their big bets.  You like that person?  Just look at his posts.

At first when i saw him post a while back, i thought okay this guy is one of those against the grain fade the public types.  The ones who like to bet against trap lines.  That is however better than ppl who just bet the most extreme public plays but ppl like square still lose, just not as much.

My issue came because of him trolling others and wanting to see others sweat it out and lose their money.  Yes money that is probably more than his weekly paycheck.  If you enjoy people losing money or sweating it out... like fellow covers members, you think that kind of guys is likeable?  Of course not.  I mean you think he would have liked it years ago when he went broke and then someone trolled and then said... man all you guys who had the under here got screwed and then make a funny emotion?  Thats exactly what he does and still does it.  I thought... what kind of person likes to make fun of others from getting screwed?  Only a bitter loser.

He even mentioned about being humble.  Where in the world is he humble.  He didn't learn that from going from hundreds to thousands and going broke.  He wants others to sweat it out and lose their money just like he did years ago when he built his bankroll to thousands and then went broke.  So now he just bitter and has to resolve to betting $5 a game.

Also he has no bankroll.  He has a sockroll.  This guy talks about freerolls.  Even recreational players don't talk about that.  He is basically broke and bitter.

If you make at least $600 a year, you are suppose to file taxes in gambling.  You act like its only ppl who make 5 figures and up.  You have no clue about how the real world works.  Did you know if you had those winnings even in your online account years ago, they can go back at it?

If you cashed out even back then, they can go back at it.  But even if you cashed out, it was peanuts.

But look at you now.  You would never have that problem with your $5 wagers.  I mean you can't even make the minimum of $600 with your $5 bets.

I've never seen him rooting against anyone in any threads.

He uses laughing emojis but I think he's simply riding the ingame rollercoaster with guys who are sweating the last leg of a parlay or need a certain result be it total to stay under or go over, or a bullpen to preserve a runline lead.

I would hardly make a case there is any malice intended.

Again, whether or not he is a big bettor or what his bankroll is, that is his business. I'm really not sure why you would care. The same way most people are not impressed by your "ability" to move a line a few cents. It stands to reason that IF you are indeed MAX betting ($1400 seems a low bet but that's neither here nor there and is solely dependent upon bookmaker decision) an early line then you will move it a bit.

Gambling is different things to different people - an enjoyable pastime for most within their limits, more serious for others who cap games and run spreadsheets, and potentially a problem for others who chase and bet what they can't afford to lose.

Hopefully you're having a win and good luck to you if you are. I don't have any ill feeling towards you. But the other post at the start was not too classy mate. Hence my response.

To each his own. Live and let live.
