Decent day yesterday picking up 5 units or so....coming back today with:

Chicago White Sox RL -1.5 +160   5 Units

Sox are rolling here while the Angels are not. No problem playing on the Sox during a day game. Santana, while doing much better over his last 3, isnt the type of pitcher you want against a HR hitting team.

Pittsburgh Pirates ML +180   5 Units

Ohlendorf has been fantastic lately. Oswalt is always solid, but has been a tough-luck loser on a few occasions this year. I look at games as a whole, and I understand the line based on the pitching matchup, but I dont understand the line based on the other 20 or so players on the roster. I see value.

    Colorado Rockies RL -1.5 +140 5 Units

Why on earth would you back the Cardinals here? They cant buy themselves a win. They are playing with absolutely NO confidence right now. They know they need about 30 runs to win a game and who do they have to face today? Ubaldo, lol. While I am still bragging about cashing against Ubaldo in his last start, I know not to consistently go against this dude. This has sweep written all over it.

    Milwaukee Brewers RL -1.5 +170   5 Units

If this team doesnt win today, they should pack it in for the season. Getting trounced at home, repeatedly, by the Giants - hardly an offensive juggernaut - is a call to arms. The Brewers have to stop this skid today. Its a must-win for this squad. They would lose all confidence and mojo they have if they drop this one to the Giants. Not taking the better team, but taking the Crew in this situation.

I love the plays except the Bucs.  I really wanted to take them but feel the line is way over inflated for a reason and the biggest mush I know is on them and he never takes dogs.  GL.

Whoa buddy, you're off track today.  I don't like any of these.  Yesterday you were money, but today I'm gonna have to fade you.  Just because a game is a "must-win" doesn't mean they will.  And you use the "must win" angle for the Brewers, but the Cards "can't buy a win."  C'mon now.  You back the Cards because Ubaldo is hittable right now, especially for the Cards, and Carp is money at Coors.  Which team has better mojo, the NL Pennant contending Cards or the reeling Milwaukee Brewers with a gas-can on the bump?  Granted Zito hasn't had the best stuff at Miller, but that's risky given the Brewers recent offensive struggles.  Ohlendorf has had TWO solid starts recently vs. a neutered Philly lineup and a weak Oakland team, he'll come back to earth today, and Oswalt is solid vs. this AAA lineup the Pirates are throwing out there.  I give the Pirates a 30% chance of winning this game which would require at least +230 or so to just break even.  And finally the White Sox, geez, just flip a coin how bout it?  These guys played past midnight last night, and now have a dreary, overcast day game.  No value on either side, under written all over it.  GL, nemesis.  We'll reconvene when these go final.

Yeah, 165, they were the last play I added. Its just a spot where I think the Stros cough that game up enough times out of 10 to make it profitable.

Creeper - You shouldnt come around here too much. We remember what happened last time. I dont want you to disappear for a month again. I still cant get over your rant about me over that Jays game. I try to save you money and you get sent to the PBox for bashing me.

Let me give you credit for being right about something....I am usually beating up on you mentally and its unfair. You finally made a statement and are correct, so here are your props:

You are right, just because its a must win doesnt make it a will win. But I play spots. You play the easiest looking things on the board. I dont expect us to see things the same. I dont know why you keep trying to approach things the way I do. You are your own person. Be it. Love it. Be Creepa, love being Creepa. Stop trying to be me.

The White Sox were not a 'Coin Flip' and your statements about the game above were pointless. The White Sox led THE ENTIRE GAME. How do you call that no value? Granted, I took the RL and lost, but the ML was covered for over 98% of that game. No value? You and I just perceive value differently.

Your next bit of advice, telling me to back the Cards because Ubaldo is hittable? Through 4 innings the Cards have 1 hit. I guess, technically, that is hittable. But, telling me to back the Cards again.....ugh.

Ohlendorf coming back to Earth today? 7 Innings of 2 Run ball. If that is coming back to Earth, I bet most would never leave it. The kid was nasty today.

I dont know how you offer such bad advice, over and over. You get 99% of things you say wrong, but then have the balls to say - 'hey, i finally won something'

Well, that's why you're my nemesis.  I understand you're a little frustrated right now.  You went with all the other Covers posters and played a shit Brewers team because it was a "must win" game.  Eh, I would be pissed too.  It's not over yet pal so let's just see what happens.

    Fizzle 0-1

You cant start your record over today

You are like any other square here, just makes up new records to seem better

I will give you your win today.

    Sizzle 5-1

    Creeper 1-5

    Those are real #s, Champ.

I look forward to you being correct more in the future.

But if I repeatedly school your ass like I have in the past and you go and disappear for a month or two again, that shit aint cool.

Take your losses like a man. Dont go run and hide while school is in session.

Ok, we can play it that way, RJ, no prob.

Things should even up a bit when these afternoon games final.

Don't look now but the Brewers have some baserunners....

And as long as were getting our numbers straight, I was boxed for a week, not a "month or two."

Also, you completely ignored my post about you flip flopping yesterday.  You backed the Brewers and they got spanked by 13 runs.  Don't say "I've played the Giants every game this series" because that's just a bald-faced lie.

I didnt back the Brewers yesterday, you moron.

Check this thread where you were on my nuts....

    https://www.covers.com/postingforum/post01/showmessage.aspx?spt=27&sub=100782972

You would say Ohlendorf came back to Earth today? Really? 7 innings pitched and 2 runs??!!?? If thats coming back to earth, do you expect him to pitch no hitters every time out?

I know you are from the South, but I thought you were educated.

You are coming off like a complete moron.

Any of this look familiar, Fizzle?

Anytime Lincecum has been at -130 or below this year, hes been a LOSER

There is being the hero and trying to predict when continued poor play will correct itself and then there is......well, shit, what else is there for gamblers?

I wouldnt touch Lincecum with your dick right now. Being due just isnt enough. Narveson isnt a big name pitcher, but has been serviceable. This line is pleading for Giants action.

Any other time its been like this with Lincecum on the hill this year, its been a loser.

It sounds like you're just being a sore loser.  Don't start making it personal.  I actually have a personality and you don't.  Name calling is a little beneath you.

Are you going to chase on the late games????

Rox almost blew that RL there at the end.  What games are you gonna chase with tonight?  Maybe you should play a RL dog or two.  LMFAO.

    All time saves leader.

So much for that "must win" angle.  Guess the Brewers are gonna pack it in for the season.  They make the Giants look like an AL team.

In all fairness, he started it.  I did my time.  I haven't posted anything that remotely approaches a terms and conditions violation.  He likes to run his mouth about how sharp he is.  He is no better than anyone else here.  I just want to prove that to the rest of the forum.
