I have been a true blue Tiger fan since 1968 and i will never bet on any of my favorite sports teams with my heart only if i can win money (or hopefully win money).  But if you are a true blue Tiger fan like me lets use this thread to follow our boys the rest of the way.  I really think we can handle this Yankee team because of our superior starting rotation.  We have to get Prince and Cabrera turned around with the bats as their ALDS batting stats were not up to their own standards.  I will be wagering on the Tigers with Fister, Scherzer and of course the best pitcher in MLB Verlander on the mound.  The rest of my wagering will be done when i see who Sanchez is facing.  Like i said we have a better starting rotation and i think we win this in 6.  I have a buddy hear in Canada who is a huge Blue Jay fan and told me a week ago wait till you beat Oakland out and have to face the tough American League East and probably the toughest in the Yanks.  Well here it is bring it on.  Unite Tiger fans.  Lets go get this.

How about uniting to this reality-your bullpen is completely untrustworthy and at this level you can't win without one....plus it's questionable who's clutch on your team, especially the money players you should count on...meanwhile your opponent has already shown they will play whoever comes to play so watchout.

Considering your freaking best pitcher cost your league home field by jaking the first inning in the All Star game, it would be fitting if he didn't get to suffer from that but if you do get in, the Texas Rangers may be winking as they saw what game 6-7 on the road meant last year....

Like i said i will bet all games with Fister, Scherzer and Verlander throwing for sure.  Starts tonight with Fister  Detroit M/L +120  $200 to win $240.  GLA

When the Tigers win tonight i have them winning in five short games.  I have winning tonight possible loosing tomorrow and then the TIgers will win with Verlander Tuesday Scherzer Wednesday and Fister will finish it at hom Thursday.  LETS GO TIGERS

I am taking the Tigers for the series and going to judge each game on individual basis. I generally don't bet a lot of individual playoff games as for me it is easier to handicap the series. Last round I had Detroit and bet them with Verlander individually, paid off nicely. I also had the Giants but played no individual games and thank goodness. I would have lost games 1&2 at home, would have laid off game 3, hit game 4 and laid off game 5 for a loss. Anyhow tonight's game I still debating to hit it or not. I don't like how the Tigers offense has performed against lefties and like the line up much better against right handers because of the added dimension of Quentin Berry. Obviously to win the series they are going to have to beat a lefty at least once, and I believe they will, but is tonight one of those games?

They didn't perform well against lefties during the season but i always seperate the season from the playoffs in just about every category simply because i think the concentration level (and maybe it shouldn't be that way) is higher in the playoffs but thats just the way any sports are.  In the season you have 162 games to make up for some bad games in the playoffs you better lift your concentration because  four bad games and your gone.  I think Fister holds the Yanks close enough for the Tigers to get enough runs to win it.  Thanks for coming in and giving your .02 cents.  LETS GO TIGERS

I think I am gonna stick with my series bet to start and if I like the flow of the game and a good opportunity presents itself I might jump them in game.

WTF is Leyland brain dead i would have had Valverde out when they got the first hit you knew what was coming.  Game not over but don't
like our chances.  We will win this series if the boys don't quit on Leyland after the worst piece of managing i have seen in my entire years of watching MLB.  We had the one tough win in the Bronx rapped up but you knew when Valverde came in it was in jeopardy.  Keep the faith Tiger fans.

That may not only have been Valverde's last shot as a Tiger closer that may have been the end of his career.

Well a win and $240.00 and a lost closer.  Got to hand it to the boys not to quit.  Like to be a fly on the wall in the Tiger clubhouse right now.  Its a win and thats all that counts.

QUESTION: How tough will it be for the Yanks to win this series with their captain and kingpin Jeter gone.  If they pull the game off this afternoon this just may be a four or five game series.  Don't want to jinx anything though.  Going to hold my $240 till we get back to Detroit with Verlander and Scherzer on the mound.  GO TIGERS GO
