But it's true...Verlander's only fault was that strike 3 to Jeter was too nasty.

He didn't have the best control, though.

A rain delay could be the worst thing ever for the Yanks. It means Verlander would be rested and could go on short rest.

Well...it means it's Noesi or Burnett v Penny. So you call that one.

But who knows. These 2 are gamers and it's the playoffs. They may go back out there unless it's a crazy 2 hour rain delay or something like that.

Fucking Rain Delay gave Detroit advantage , Verlander had 25 pitches  just in the 1st inning , now he has a chance to rest up

Not a chance. Rest is only a bad thing. He gets out of the first inning (usually a pitcher's worst inning) and then he starts to warm up. Now he'll have to warm up all over again.

Looking at the map on weatherchannel.com...the rain should stop right now but start up again at 10 until 2:45.

So I don't know what to make of that.
