Top PN for Today

Tracking and playing the Top MLB Power Number daily for the past 33 days has produced a record of (24-9). 

I'm going to track it here starting today. I am not certain how best to use this number to wager with. It had a fantastic run in the NHL also. 

It will not always be the biggest favorite on the board. The Dodgers are not the play today. 

Top MLB Power Number for May 18

Yankees (+20).

My dilemma is how best to wager it. Yesterday I posted the Top MLB Power Number and it was the Yankees and I played them on the runline and of course the Yankees give up one in the 9th and win 5-4. 

I can't lay (-300) on regular season baseball. The average juice for the past 33 days has been right at (-165) and playing the runline has dropped 5 wins off the record, making it 19-14. 

I'll put the Top MLB Power Number up for a few days and we will see how it does and today that Power Number goes to the Yankees.

Pretty impressive at (24-9) last 33 but only (5-4) last 9. 

And I believe the record is only (19-14) if playing the runline. 

Still just sharing info and trying to figure out if I really have something here and if I do have something, how best to use it.

Record would be exactly the same (24-9) odds doesn't affect the won/lost record... The average line on the losses is (-169), so you could figure the units won. 

24-9 (+8.79 units) 

Based on trying to win one unit on each. 

But I'm inclined to wager as large as possible on these, if your talking just about the Top MLB Power Number each day.

According to my Power Numbers for Wednesday, there were three teams that recieved a pretty decent rating (+13) or higher, this is on a scale of (0-30). 

Rating is only good for today and in this particular matchup only. 

Giants (+13)

Houston (+15)

Yankees (+20)

I would assume that those three teams are worth wagering on today, with the Yankees being the Top MLB Power Number.

I'm still going to get down on the Yankees in a big way tonight but let's see how this little 3 teamer goes.

Giants/Houston/Yankees (+250)

The Power Numbers did really well in the NHL and I noticed that it reels off some long win streaks. And it doesn't lose many back to back games.

Well damn u just jinxed the frick out of me bc I have those 3 teams in a parlay.  Haha

Man I don't doubt it. 

If I go Yankees runline tonight, they will win by one. If I put them in a parlay, they will win and one of the other two will lose, so yeah I'm sure I jinxed it. 

I hate to lay all that juice with the Yankees. 

I'm going to try a 2 teamer with the Giants/Yankees (+110). If the Giants win, I'll have the Yankees at a great price. Either way, I'm still going to be on the Yankees tonight.

I'm with ya pal. We have probably been on the same plays this week.  I will say that the nyy r/l looks much stronger today than yest.  Yanks should crush lyles and rf in camden will get touched by my guy rizzo or Gallo tonight.  Lyles really struggles vs lefties.  I'd expect Joe to add an extra lefty or 2 to the lineup today!

Has Torre replaced Aaron Boone as Yankees manager?

In general, -180 is the absolute max I will lay when it comes to favorites!  Anything higher than that I have to find a dancing partner for.  Gl

(-160) is usually my highest. But I've been frustrated with The Top Power Number winning but me not winning. 

I was just going to use this thread to track the Top MLB Power Number and for tonight that's

May 18 Yankees (+20)

And I believe the Yankees tonight is my highest rated number this season. From tracking this and the NHL, I suspect lengthy win streaks.

Just looking at the 3 biggest lines on the board today, my Power Numbers had this on them.

Yankees (+20)

Dodgers (+7)

Toronto (+4)

And I definitely don't trust any single digit rating.

There is also one other thing that I'm looking at with the Power Numbers, now that we have enough info in the books.

There are two underdogs tonight that carry a higher rating than their opponent.

Padres (+125) MLB (+4)

Edmonton (+150) NHL (+1)

Both plays are rated as (+) even wagers. 

I have not tracked or tested this theory for any length of time. I just wanted to mention this tonight. If you could develop a system that could identify underdogs half the time, you would be on easy street. 

I'll present two dogs tonight that fit this category. You can call them Power Dogs.

Well I said, put Yankees in a parlay and the other team would lose, play Yankees on runline and they would win by one. Lucky for me, I threw caution to the wind and just bet on the Yankees to win. 

Top MLB Power Number Wins again. 

Not so good for the Power Dogs (0-2).

I have no other numbers that even reach double digits today in any sport.

It's all on the Yankees in the early game for me. I'll track the Power Dogs but I don't expect much out of them. 

Most of the series will reset tomorrow and the Power Numbers will change with new matchups.
