ML PICK: Boston Red Sox @ -145
I try not to take a team back to back, but going with Boston again today. There's some interesting matchups today however, I have the most confidence in this one out of the rest of the slotted games. As long as Pomeranz can stay healthy and get through at least 6 innings I like my chances. I give slight advantage in Pitching to Boston however Cobb has been progressing and after a few more starts will be a pitcher you don't want to matchup against. I am hoping the Red Sox's get to him early to get him off his game. Hitting advantage Boston going against a righty compared to the Rays going against a lefty for the second day in a row. Finally the Bull Pen advantage goes to Boston. Even though Cobb has the potential to shut down Boston, I'm taking my chances and taking Boston at home to take the series with a win today.
O/U PICK: Bal/Tor Under 9 @ -145
Both offenses have been shaking to start off the year, Toronto more then Baltimore. Toronto ranks dead last both in runs scored and batting average and I think going against Dylan Bundy won't help their cause. Baltimore will be up against Happ the Lefty, they have .225 average this year against lefties which is below league average. Both teams bullpens rank just outside the top ten in the league so far this year. So I am hoping between the good arms taking the mounds today and the cold bats we can comfortably win this under pick today.
