estes I need advice, what do you think..here is the situation

I go through a local book that gives his clients a # to call to retrieve the lines..the lines for the entire card usually come out at around 630 or 645..long story short my bookie has the total at 6.5 for the Giants vs Padres, the original total with the Freak Lincecum on the bump...as many of you guys now know, the freak is no longer pitching tonight..do I hammer this game due to the massive 1.5 run advantage or do I just put in a regular play on it? I really want to bet the house so to speak on this over but I know it is far from a lock...What would you guys do in this situation? Should I try and middle this total between both of my books? Maybe that is the smartest idea..My only concern with trying to middle is what happens if the 1 bookie who has the total at 6.5 somehow cancels that action and it goes over 8, then I am screwed...

McGraff...I don't have E's expertise, but my advice would be to put a "normal" play on the over.  You have terrific if this line holds.  If the over hits and your book later says that the wager is cancelled for some reason, then you know you need another book.  Can't give your book a freeroll...

I'm almost positive that your bet will cancel since the freak is now out. If you bet totals the books always go listed pitchers.But I use  prvate online books so that might not be the case with the TELE bet.  GL

There is definitely a chance the wager will get canceled..however, there is also a chance it does not..I honestly believe it is 50-50...The question is risk vs reward...which holds a lesser risk with a bigger reward..

scenario 1 trying to middle..1000 over 6.5 and 1000 under 8..essentially risking 100 to win 2000...looks great on paper..but if the 6.5 bookie cancels that wager and it goes over 8 then I have a problem lol...

or

hammer over 6.5..if I win I risk the wager getting canceled...if I lose I am almost positive it doesnt get canceled lol but I have a great line at 6.5
