Ok im new to the covers threads here.... just had a question, I somewhat have an idea but want to know for sure... when some says like above for example ' 3 Units ' what exactly is that? I was under the impression ' Units ' are what we wager here like in the league contests (100,200,300,400 or 500). But I see most are stating 1 or 2 units when posting their picks in these threads.... ?????  YTD is 5.80 units?

A unit is whatever you want it to be.  It could be $1, $10, $100, $5000.  A lot of people say your unit should be 2-3% of your bankroll.  So whatever your bankroll is, multiply by .02 or .03 and that would be your unit.
