yuck. .. im on cubs 5 . . hart is garbage thus far and although the bucs usually play zambrano tough. . this is a different roster he will be facing. . cubs 5 for me since the bucs with their god awful record still have a home winning record. . gl to us

I might add that I was really excited about taking Texas Game 1 yesterday and a number of you guys talked me out of it.... Much to my dismay of course.... Looking for someone to save my ass on this one and so far no one is helping..

One question that you got to ask your self is that is HART going to hold this cubs line up to 3-4 or mayb att most 5-6 runs...  Sure the buccos may hit zombrano and get 3 or 4 but this series you have seen better hitting by the cubs. 
 
The buccos are a Scrappy home team but then again were 20-43 against teams in our division...  I followed the cubs in games one and two so i have to play  big Z just because i allready made money and why not.
 
If your looking for a pay day, i'd rather pay the extra juice and trust wainewright or even WANNY at home..  But i'll be on the cubs because of the team not because of the pitcher

I don't know if this answers your question, but before yesterday's game, the Cubs scored...

4 against Daniel McCutchen (4.85 ERA)

2 against Michael Pelfrey (4.83 ERA)

1 & 5 against Nelson Figueroa (4.74 ERA)

2 against Bobby Parnell (5.25 ERA)

0 against Carlos Torres (6.35 ERA)

2 against Felipe Paulino (6.34 ERA)

4 against Brian Moehler (5.10 ERA)

3 against Roy Oswalt (Ok, I'll give you credit for this one)

 

Now, you answer the question, could K Hart keep the Cubs at 4-5 runs? I honestly don't know, but my guess would be: Most likely.

My bad... What I described above are not runs scored ON the pitchers. These are total runs scored in the game versus the team with those respective pitchers, which means, they actually scored less runs against those crappy salad tossers (except Oswalt, of course).

Chicago has won six of Zambrano’s last seven outings against the Pirates dating to Sept. 8, 2007, and he’s 3-0 with a 3.49 ERA in those games.
 
Zambrano is 6-1 with a 3.97 ERA in 12 career starts at PNC Park.
 
August is typically Big Z's worst month of the year and he tends to rebound in September like his last start ( 7 innings, 1 ER).
 
His road ERA this year is much better than his home (3.03 to 4.64).
 
I would back him further if Koyie Hill is the catcher rather than Soto (opp. BA is .232 this year with Hill and .275 with Soto)
 
The Cubs are 8-2 against the Pirates this year and this is one of the few teams that have dominated lately, even going 14-4 against them last year.
 
All that being said and add in the fact that Kevin Hart is facing his former team, sounds about right for the Pirates to win this game...
