True....It is tough on a pitcher NOT to have first base open. He can pitch on the corners of the strike zone. Walking Bettis---who is often too aggressive trying to be the hero---just made that first grapefruit softball league pitch possible to Freeman.

...but Yankee hitters were unclutch....Soto hitting into a DP with noone out and Flaherty already high in the pitch count.....

Or letting Flaherty off the hook in every inning....are not completely the manager's fault

Not too may games you can win scoring 2 runs.....if that was the plan. LEt's try win 2-1 at Dodger Statdium, aint gonna get er done.
