Wed MLB write up + picks

The O's had an offensive explosion yesterday, thanks to Mark Reynolds, Adam Jones, and Chris Davis when they all homered and Jones had four hits in all as the Orioles scored eight runs on 15 hits for the game.

Baltimore starts Brian Matusz who has lost two of his last three starts. For the season Matusz has allowed 71 hits and 35 earned runs while striking out 50 over 65.1 innings of work for a 4.82 ERA.

The rats put up a good fight yesterday, but it just wasn’t enough. Casey Mcgehee and Neil Walker homered while Jose Tabata had two hits and Andrew McCutchen had one as the Pirates scored six runs on 10 hits.

Kevin Correia starts tonight, who hasn’t allowed more than three runs in any of his last four starts. For the season Correia has allowed 60hits and 30 earned runs while striking out 24 over 63 innings of work for a 4.29 ERA.

Baltimore is 6-2 in their last eight interleague games, 2-7 in their last nine home games against a right handed starter, and 6-16 in Matusz’s last 22 starts. Pittsburgh is 4-1 in their last five games overall, 10-2 in their last 12 games against a left handed starter, and 2-5 in Correia’s last seven starts as an underdog.

I'm not a big fan of the pirates, but seeing Matusz is shaky, and Correia has been pretty solid recently, I will give the edge to the rats...some may disagree, but I'm willing to bet on it.

The red sox needed a win, and they got it yesterday. That put an end to a four game slide but the Red Sox need so much more as they have dropped seven of nine overall and are sinking further in the standings of the American League East.

The pitching has been average but the real problem has been a lack of offensive with four runs being a good night.

Doubront toes the rubber Wednesday looks for a big rebound from a 7-4 defeat at the hands of Washington where he was tagged for six runs on eight hits over just four innings of work.

Ricky Nolasco starts for Miami looking to get back to the consistency that made him successful early on in 2012. Nolasco has just a pair of quality starts over his past six outings.  I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but Nolasco seem's to SUCK at home and plays much more solid away?

This is a tough game to cap, but I think the red sox walk away with this, as I think nolasco will be wild today and give up the long ball a couple of times.

And I'm not hiding.  I am just sharing info WITHOUT selling anything.  Believe it or not, I don't really care.  SCP was initially made for people to sign up WITHOUT PAYING MONEY, and we have had some super handicappers on that site that shared info within.  Then it got a little bit publicized, and went all over the place.  Hey, if people want to pay, then why not, right?

But that's not why I'm here.  I'm here, because I'm just another person, like the rest of you guys, who wants to make money and keep an account with this website.

But you guys can think what you want.  I do solid writeups and spend my whole time figuring out games to cap.  A "thank you" would be nice.  NOT all this other BS.
