I’m not sure if it’s just me but there seems to be a ton of runs being scored in the 7th and latter this year. Unders just getting destroyed with relief and closing pitchers getting rocked!
Compared to a while back when closers were so dominant, it’s weird to see so many choke jobs in the late innings.

The upper tier teams are absolutely destroying relief pitching from 7-9 inning. No lead has been safe. It’s truly become impossible to make money betting this evil sport.

The walks are mind boggling bad! In the Houston/Mets game on right now there have been a combined 14 walks! And it’s only the 7th inning.
A walk off bases loaded walk yesterday for the giants. It’s just insane. I may just start betting the over at the start of every 7th inning, you would be up a ton!

Bad players…Very rare to see a reliever come in and get 3 up and 3 down. Such drama with these bullpens. Up 4 runs and they walk the bases loaded….And it’s not like they’re facing Ted Williams. In most cases, they’re facing guys struggling to hit .200. MLB has become pathetic. It gets worse every year.

Sport blows generally without gambling. Even worse with gambling.
summer is a solace as I personally can take 3 months off to clear the mind. I promise you maybe 1 person makes money off a long grind season on here and those profits aren’t even worth the time and headache

Man, I don’t understand. With half of these relievers, it’s like pulling teeth to get 1 measly out lol I know not everyone is going to be Mariano Rivera but my goodness.

I think it has something to do with the pitch clock. They throw much harder for fewer innings they need the extra time. This is what baseball wanted tho. More action.

no This thread make no sense at all and is taken out of context.. were all the games tied or very close games in the 7th inning? If it’s a blowout game you want teams to bring in their elite set up and closers? What if the closer or set up guys are not available because they pitched 2 days in a row? So many variables. You really using the Braves/Phillies game Extra inning game as an example with a free ghost runner at 2nd? Really? oh BTW.. from the start of the 7th inning is 1/3 of the game remaining. Lots of game left.. u guys are hilarious. So teams can score a lot of runs in the 1st 3 innings but not the last 3?

This was just 1 day I randomly did because the last handful were the exact same. All different situations and scores, but the one thing that remains the same is there are a lot of runs scored in the final 3 innings relative to years past.
I get what you’re saying with the different situations, but at the end of the day the lack of pitching quality in late relievers and closers is evident. I do agree the pitch clock has had an effect as it makes pitchers work faster. But I have seen so many games with a ton of different situations and still a ton of runs scored late.
I haven’t looked it up, but I would guess there have been a lot more runs scored in the last 3 innings this year than the first 3 innings. Growing up it was pretty rare to put up crooked numbers from the 7th on. Late relievers and closers were much more efficient in holding down lineups.

AI could umpire these games...the human element (subjectivity) is the whole problem when you look at all the variables in baseball. Never played baseball and had no interest other than gambling when football and basketball seasons ended. But once I learned the rules and all the subjectivity...I was like OMG this shit can be "fixed" so easily or lets just say influenced. But that's part of the game and it requires a high level of integrity.

with all this being said, and I fully agree the relief pitching is worse than ever before... there does lie this nice option to bet the 1st 5 innings... bookmark the team BP stats on your PC, look at usage and utilize the first 5 to your advantage
