Do you guys favor parlays or straight bets? I'm starting to like parlays more and more. For example, you like 3 plays at -120 and you want to win 200 on each one. Do you make 3 straight bets risking 240 to win 200 or 1 parlay risking 200 to win 1030? If you make the straight bets and all 3 plays lose your down 720 with the parlay your only down 200. If all 3 win: straight bets +600 parlay +1030. 2 out of 3 win straight bets +160 parlay -200. 1 out of 3 win straight bets -280, parlay -200. The parlay lowers risk and maximizes reward -only 1 of the scenarios favors the straight bet. I know a lot of people say parlays are for suckers but I'm not so sure.

Reversals have been good to me of late, but I wouldn't recommend them. Its not worth losing twice your wager if u lose the bet just for 1.4 more of a payout.

if it wasnt for parlays i wouldnt be up 100,000 in my career
100,000 pennies? Cause you sure as hell aren't up that in dollars. I'd be shocked if you weren't down a fortune career with your nightly crying sessions.

when you hit a 25,000 dollar parlay, and a 30,000 dollar future play on the celtics championship come talk
straight are better if you want to win lots of money, but most cannot, so they lost lots of money betting straight wagers
parlays are tough to hit, but they can save you lots of heartache
3 teamers are good, 4 is the max
but who am i tell people this, ive seen someone hit a 100,000 dollar parlay before
Ok and if I take your big hits for the truth (which I don't)...
Then it is even more pathetic that you feel the need to start 50 threads on a nightly basis crying about every random bet under the sun. Just can't take you seriously on any level.

just do the math and figure out how often each of those scenarios happens and then juxtaposed next to your relative payouts it will become obvious that you get screwed to a far greater degree playing only parlays...the whole point is whether or not you can find an edge to beat the juice the bookies charge....most can't,vegas is astonishingly good at wat they do.
just look at a basic 2-team parlay at around -110 odds,it pays out +270-ish......your odds of winning a bet at 50/50 odds(which is wat the estimated chances of a -110 bet are) then multiplied by winning another comes out to be 25%(50% X 50%)...pretty simple,rite??....so how is a payout of +270 profitable if you hit at the expected average rate of 1 in 4??....even if you are damned good youve gotta make up a huge number of % points probability-wise.
im sure you realise by now that you are actually getting ripped off in terms of juice by playing parlays....hence the commonly held notion that they are sucker bets.
i think its fine to go for a home-run type parlay for fun only on ocassion and view it as a lotto ticket so to speak, except that you have sum say in the result of course which makes it even more fun....or sumtimes if you are highly, highly confident in a cupple of highly-juiced favourites then parlays can work........but in the long run it is no more profitable for the average punter to play parlays than straight plays.....its even harder to be fair

I like my share of parlays, but u won't find many guys that just bet parlays because they are all broke.I remember one Saturday I picked like 80% in CFB but lost money for day because of betting so many turns and parlays.I might bet 3 parlays in a day ..I might go days without. My strategy is I play parlays when I'm winning not losing.I usually play parlays for less than my straight wagers, but if u just bet parlays I don't see u making it in long run .Now if u got 3 days to try to bust their chops then fire away.just my 2cents..I think I'm playing a Birthday parlay today to give a gift to myself.lol

Straights bets. Two to three games a day. Same units each game. Try to go 2-1 everyday. It's hard enough to win one game yet people think they can continuously win 2 to 3 in a row? Parlays are true sucker bets.
