They are 27-81. The worst record in mlb history for a 162 game season is 43-119 the 2003 tigers. It sure is looking like the white sux are going to make history .

14 game losing streak and 15 game losing streak with flexen starting. But in spite of that there will ALWAYS be gamblers betting on the white Sox. The gamblers fallacy is a natural instinct.

The 2003 Tigers were actually 38-118, 80 games under .500 and went 5-1 just to avoid matching the Mets 120 loss season. One of those 5 wins came on the penultimate day when they overcame an 8-0 deficit to beat the Twins 9-8. I was on the twins that day
That team was so bad that rookie manager Alan Trammell should have gotten manager of the year votes by simply showing up to the ballpark everyday and not having committed suicide

@diondimucci
Penultimate means “next to last.” Sometimes it is used erroneously as if it referred to something beyond ultimate, meaning “the very best,” but the prefix pen- means “almost.” Penultimate can seem like a superlative version of ultimate, but it isn't.

Home team gets swept the probably lose first game of new series too.
Royals are 9-1 against Sox this year and Sox score 12 runs in 10 games. Can't get much worse than that

Penultimate means “next to last.”
Yeah, so? That game did take place on the second to last day of the regular season.

I'm proud to say I haven't attempted to win with the worthless South Siders since July 8th, which means I have missed the entire current 16-game losing streak. Today, however, if I get the price I want, I intend to back them in snapping this streak. Proud youngster Drew Thorpe saw his brief run of dominance end in humiliating fashion last Friday night when he hung his head low and walked off the mound in the top of the 1st inning after throwing only 39 pitches against the Mariners. I'm counting on him today to come back with a vengeance, and then I'll sit back and hope the bullpen schmoes don't blow this again.

The white Sox are currently 1-11 vs Kansas city (about to be 1-12), 1-9 vs Minnesota and 1-5 vs Detroit. But somehow they're 5-5 vs Cleveland. So if the Indians miss out on the playoffs there are 4 games that they pissed away
