Yeah, the story was on espn.com today. Pitchers from both teams noticed the difference, and statistically they're hardly getting any swings and misses on their breaking balls compared to what they normally do, because the slickness of the ball make it harder to grip. And obviously there have been quite a few home runs.

Fans want offense not low scoring boring games... Imagine and NFL playoff game ending 10 - 7, people will complain about how boring it was or an NBA playoff game ending 90 - 88, people will complain about it being boring.. You are living in an offensive era in pro sports..
Just for the record:this game outscored the lowest point total in the NFL game today between Carolina and Tampa Bay.
ABSOLUTELY!!! Fan attendance would fall like a rock if scoring went back to 1-0 games all the time.
Naysaysers who want the 1-0 stuff look in the stands and see the number of cell phones out. CASE CLOSED: the fans dont agree either with the pitching duels.
Forget about the juiced balls argument, I have never seen such an ebb and flow between teams in my WS experiences. So many times it looked like the game was over and we're tied again.
Great game IRREGARDLESS of the score. Neither team at any point gave up.

Let's be honest. If either team had a pen like the KC Royals of 2 years ago when they beat the Mets, this would not be happening. The fact is, outside of Jansen, these bullpens are below average. Just enjoy what will go down in history as an amazing sporting event that you witnessed live.
.....and the way Jansen has been worked, I would not be surprised to see him get jacked up in game 6. He's getting too much work for a closer.
Gamble for entertainment, invest for wealth!

Morrow got overworked and LA paid for it. Jansen might get shelled if they go to him again tomorrow like you said.
One thing I did like was the swag of Devenski. You lose the swag on the mound and you can pack it in. The other team senses you are struggling and they go into take mode.
He gave up runs but so did almost everybody. Even tho he was down like 3-0 at times he's shaking his yep at the catcher acting like I'm gonna eff this guy up.

Gimmicks like the DH and the wild card and juiced balls and juiced players bring in more casual fans and more money, which is why the owners have supported those things. That doesn't mean those things are better for the purity or integrity of the game. They make the game better for people who like artificial B.S. -- most people -- but not for the rest of us.

I agree it isn't good baseball at all....my dad taught me 30 years ago walks lead to runs and that is the root of all evil...these are suipposed to be the best two teams with their aces and neither can throw a strike. It is quiet scary how bad that is. You give me the best pitcher in the game with a 4 run lead and it's over or should be. Kershaw if they lose, this game will haunt him forever. This is what ulive for andyour team gives you more runs than u should know whwt to do with.
