If you bet on Boston to win this series, you are BRAIN DEAD... It is a lock for LA to win since it is the year of the upset in pro sports... ZERO underdog teams have won it all this year maybe besides GS but i believe Houston was favored over them before the fake and scripted CP3 injury but every other team that won, they were the underdog... Bama, Caps, Eagles all were underdogs and all won.. You can add the Dodgers to that list after this series.. Also, no way MLB has LA lose in back to back WS... Kershaw is considered the GOAT pitcher, this is the year he finally wins
damn it, why couldn't you be a Boston backer

While in Boston there will be a DH, while in LA there will be no DH. Just so you get that. Not sure if you do based on your first sentence.
Yeah, i thought since Boston had home field advantage, they would play with a DH throughout the series turns out they wont, so thanks for pointing that out.
Btw, the DH for Dodgers will be Kemp tonight and when the series shift to LA, they will play JD somewhere in the outfield...

If you have Boston 12-1 why would you not hedge when the other team is plus money? Dodgers win this. Better pitching and DH don’t matter when La can roll out so many lineups. Dodgers in 5. 6 at most

Yes, the books will be dead if the Sawx win the WS.
Unless all the betting on the games, props, in-game, parlays, etc., etc. related to the WS somehow saves them. So against all odds, I'll show up at the Sportsbook here in a couple weeks - hoping that those poor bastards are still operating.
Thanks for the heads up.

Irish, I dont think you understand my lingo. Either way, many major Casinos are reporting an overflow of series wagers in relation to game 1 wagers with 85/15 ratio of Boston/LA bets. Public perception is slam dunk free money BOS including tons of chasers on full tilt from Astros/Brewers falling.

Buddy,
I get your drift....but the sportsbooks (I only speak of knowledge of the boys here in Vegas) never really worry about their liabilities - and sometimes, when they announce that they "Need the Dodgers" (like they have been doing today) it's an open invitation to get the public to bet more. And remember this.....the books are not unlike other businesses - you come in to bet the Red Sox....and thinking you have a sure thing, end up betting Baskets and footies too.
These guys aren't bad with numbers....but they're World Class at human psychology when it comes to gambling. My reply was a bit wry....but the books are companies - they don't just have one bet going. The WS handle isn't bad....but it's just a piece of today's business along with soccer (VERY strong today), hoops, and prelim "tempter lines on foots.
Good luck in your bets!

Rangers lost b2b WS in '10 & '11, to teams that had already won multiple WS titles. Where was the mlb then to ensure Rangers fans tasted their long awaited for first-ever WS title? Why is LA's spot any different now to the Rangers situation when playing in the 2011 WS?
