As I have the Dodgers to winthe series, -125, no sense in playing any FGs, just along for the ride at this point. If the Yankees want to win tonight, it's imperative to get off to a good start, they've trailed after 5 innings all 3 games. The longer the game goes tonight and NY finds themselves either behind or even tied, the less likely they are to win as the Dodgers top relievers are rested and the Yankees would surely be pressing every at bat.
Gil makes his first WS start, kid has good stuff and he doesn't give up alot of hits, won 15 games but walks have hurt him, he's walking about 4.5 every 9 innings, that can't happen tonight. Still, I think he'll pitch well enough to give them a chance to win. Yanks are better hitting than we've seen this series and the BP night for LA could certainly help early on as starters Flaherty, Yamamoto, and Buehler were all verygood in shutting NY down.
For you hockey fans, I had the Panthers to win the Cup, posted too, and after 3 games it was 3-0 and Florida had outscored Edmonton 11-4, dominant. We all know what happened after that, Edmonton woke up and Florida had to win a nail biting game 7, so you just never know.
Yanks have to come out strong early to give themselves a chance, otherwise, LA fans can bust out the brooms so I'm backing the Yanks, first five only-
Yanks -.5, -110, 1st Five
As always good luck to all!

You would think. Also the starters for LA were underestimated, Flaherty, Yamamoto, and Buehler were all very capable of shutting any opponent down and they did. BP night can't hurt for NY hitters, unlikely they'll outpitch their starter teammates who again were very good. GL to you!

I still can’t get my head around this BP night stuff.
Although I guess it’s been working so far.
Before the All Star break, out here in LA, all the pundits were talking about how the Dodgers were gonna fail because of lack of pitching, but obviously they filled up the ranks. Pretty amazing what Roberts has done.
GL to you as well!

I think the Rays really started BP night and oddly enough have been successful with it. Hitters face a different pitcher every time so you can't adjust to the pitches you've seen. Of course, that can backfire too and I kind of feel like it may tonight but we'll see.
