I shouldn't be shocked as its a Tom Hanks movie but I was surprisingly very happy with this one. You will cry. A lot. There are many heart felt moments. But as soon as you think you are emotionally spent there will be a great comedic relief built in. Truly a wonderfully well done and acted movie. Everyone should see it at some point.

great movie-a good matinee to see with the wife recently. A lot of important themes, and cool that his son in real life played his son in the movie; thanks for the other tip-I'll pass on knock at the Cabin lol. Cheers!

Just saw this on Prime (I think) last week. Pretty good. Not sure they make movies like this anymore, although it wasn't wholly original or anything like that.
I read the book prior to watching the film. I never pictured the main character to look like Tom Hanks, but I liked him playing Otto.
