Apocalypto

I think 1 of 2 things about this movie, and I can't decide which is it quite yet because I just finished it.

 

1. (and the most likely).... C'mon Mel, we know your intention here. You're a fundamentalist christian and this movie is an obvious attempt to portray native Americans as bloodthirsty savages that need Christ to be civilized. Whatever, you keep perpretrating that lie, and the blood is on your hands... by the way, didn't Christ get KILLED by religious goons.... like you?

 

2. If you are trying to make a point that warmongering civlizations ultimately meet their own end by living by the sword, dying by the sword, you got a good point.

 

Tell me that the scene where they are in the jungle prior to the invasion isn't heaven on earth. I'd much rather run around killing pigs in wild than sitting behind the steering wheel and a bullshit computer all day. 

#2. - that's our country in the present tense

If you watch this flick, be sure not to eat before it. Brutal and graphic and after a while it gets to be a little too much, but this is still a good flick.

I liked it.

Better then I thought.

a good movie. The footchase through the jungle near the end is thrilling and in particular when that tribesman soldier gets his head bashed in good and the blood is squirting out.
