I heard that one of the huge hiccups to get this film going is the schedule of Michael Cera who plays the incredible "George Michael" on that show.
 
But this movie needs to get made.  What a great television show.

They had a marathon of this show on G4 last week and i watched the 1st 5 episodes to give it a shot , i figured watching just 1 isnt a good barometer, and I gotta tell ya. I didnt find it funny.
Dont think I missed anything, I like my comedies just didnt find it funny.

Sorry to hear that. Not every show will be for everyone, but I think you should give it another shot. A lot of times I like something the 2nd time that I didnt like the 1st time. Although I liked the 1st season, its usually the weakest for most shows imo. Here's one from the 3rd season that was pretty good if you want to watch it.

I guess they'll just have to wait for him because this movie cant be made without him. He was my favorite character and he played that nervous/embarrased/shy character to perfection.

 This got cancelled way too early. Fantastic show. Have all the seasons on DVD.

Thanks for the updates.

NJDevils, give it another chance, I agree second time around is sometimes better.  And I think the second season is the best.  The third felt rushed like we all knew it was only a matter of time until Fox pulled the plug, and only 13 episods.

Michael Cera Agrees to Arrested Development?

Oh happy day. An increasing diva-like Michael Cera has reportedly agreed to do the Arrested Development movie. Sources tell E! that Mitchell Hurwitz is writing the script and Ron Howard will direct for Fox Searchlight.

This follows optimistic news from the Oscars, where Howard told Ryan Seacrest, "It's looking very much like we're going to make [the movie], but we've now been asked to stop offering any details. It's cloaked in a little mystery, but it's looking good."

Cera was allegedly that last holdout amongst the cast, with Jason Bateman, Portia de Rossi, Will Arnett, Tony Hale, Jessica Walter, Jeffrey Tambor, and David Cross reportedly already having agreed to do the flick.

HAHAHA ....  love Arrested Develpoment...  how they keep crappy reality shows and other garabage like Howie do it.... and New Adventure of Geriatric Christine and take this gem off is beyond me.

Esp reality shows... they're such BS.  They everywhere now b/c they don't have to hire writers etc.  They just throw a bunch of no talented DBags in front of a camera and the tard public eats it up.
