I didn't even know about the show until I saw this thread. I went in with no expectations and it was very good. I recommend it, the acting was top notch. Yeah it was a bit unrealistic just like every other show ever made.

Thought it was very solid/well-done. Disagree with 165yds it was actually pretty realistic and felt very similar to how similar events would play out IRL.
My only problem was the main inconsistency about the actual murder. No blood splatter experts at the scene of the crime the first night (Dexter?). Not sure how the cops who took him in initially (the night of) didn't realize Nasir had pretty clean clothes after allegedly stabbing the girl 22 times and the mess that would have created. Would have taken hours to clean himself off and get new clothes, etc.
The other problem I found was the lack of a time frame. The first 2-3 episodes all clearly happened over the first 24-48 hours, but the rest of the series was extremely vague about the duration of how things progressed. From the incarceration, to the meetings, and trials it could have been a week or two after the incident, a month or two, or even like six months (most realistic). Not the biggest issue but also not sure if that was done intentionally or it was just overlooked.
Bottom line, very solid and well-done series. Highly recommend.

You raise a really good point MI Fan. The only thing that somewhat explained this was that the DA recommended to fast-track the trial because it was such a high profile case. I believe it was in Part 4.

Well for what little time they had left I thought they wrapped it up nicely. I liked the last 5 minutes of course, I liked the overall "message" or "tone" they left after all was said and done..
I do wish they had spent more show time uncovering the truth and less time on showcasing prison life and how disgusting it all is.

I'd give it maybe another month or so. Don't ruin it for anyone who aren't fully caught up. Last episode only aired last night.
Agreed not to go anywhere with this for a while to avoid spoiling. But, in light of others comments, I'd like to add mine, without giving anything away ( I hope ). If folks don't want a general opinion, please stop reading.
Early episodes: agree with Slob---compelling. Middle few episodes: boring beyond belief Concluding episodes: preposterous
I'll try to explain my thinking after the passage of an appropriate period of time; thanks to Slob for the suggestion.
