 Black Swan -  Not for me, didnt like it at all

Winters Bone- ok but a little slow. did not think jennifer lawrence deserved a best actress nomination though

My Blue Heaven- couple good laughs from steve martin.

Jay I watched it on kickass, it wasnt a pretty rough copy though. I will watch it again when I find a good copy.

been on the HD movie channels quite a bit lately. saw it last month on EPIX.

U kno i have no problem waiting now. Movies are coming out faster and faster to DVD.

I mean The Fighter came out in Dec now on DVD in March

not the first time BUT not for a long time...

The Harder They Fall (1956)

Humphrey Bogart's last film before his death in 1957 and for my money, one of his best. also one of my fovite boxing themed movies of all time along with Requiem for a Heavyweight with Anthony Quinn, Jackie Gleason andMickey Rooney.

the movie spawned a Congressional investegation of "the fight game" in the 1950's

BATTE: LA   -good for what it was, good action scenes, draws out in the middle a little too much. Okay thearter movie, great DVD movie.

In the Name of the Father (1993)

a bit long BUT well acted by a young Daniel Day-Lewis, the late Pete Postlethwaite and Don Baker as Joe McAndrew (the IRA captain that actually carried out the Guildford Pub bombing).

would definately recommend it for the acting AND the history. it's a pretty strong  indictment of "British Justice" back during "The Troubles" in 1970's Northern Ireland

The Town - Superb flick

looks really good. is it still in theaters or on disc now?

the late Pete Postlethwaite, one of my fav character actors of all time, in it.

The Town is on Blu Ray/DVD. Pete Postlethwaite plays a small but pivotal role in the film and I agree he was great in The Name of the Father along with his character Kobayashi in one of my favorite films the Usual Suspects. He was a great actor and will be missed. Pick up "The Town" you won't be disappointed.

Good dvd type movie, I was hoping for more action though.

The other guy in it (don't know his name) was awesome.

"Bobcat" is a GREAT standup BUT every one of his movies has SUCKED!!!

Limitless: was excellent, fun movie. I liked the premise and it was a solid movie

The Lincoln Lawyer was outstanding. Best movie I have seen in the theater in a pretty good while
