Agreed, there were funny part and like Anchorman 1, I'm sure the more I see it the funnier it will be. However Anchorman 1 is waaaay better than 2.

It is growing on me alittle tho. When I left the theater I was disappointed but as the days go by I will startf laughing to myself when I remember a funny line from the movie I forgot about.

It's impossible for a sequel to be as good in a comedy especially a classic like Anchorman.

Insidious 2. 

Loved the first one. Thought it was the creepiest and scariest horror movie in years. This movie was a horrible, convoluted, over the top piece of total crap. I was ready to tap out 45 minutes in. And to top it off, the shameless final scene setting up the sequel. MEH. 

Watched GO with my stepdaughter last night. First time I've seen it in at least 10 years. Fun flick and enjoyable.

Lawless (2012) decent Prohibition era Moonshiners vs crooked cops drama based on the Bondurant brothers of Franklin County, Virginia which was a hot spot of moonshining back then. not a big Shia "LaPoof" fan but he was decent along with Tom Hardy and Jason Clarke as the three Bondurants. Guy Pearce as Charlie Rakes is a really nasty baztard of a villain. OK IF you like the genre. it's on Showtime about every night next week

I forget WHO recommended Pawn Shop Chronicles (2013) last month but watched last night and it was just plain weird. looked like just an excuse to put together a bunch of S&M scenes and I can't understand how Brendan Fraser, Vincent D'Onofrio or Elijah Wood would let themselves get roped into this mess. complete waste of time

No disrespect, but hold on.....  Brendan Fraser?  Mess?   Isn't that pretty much everything he's ever done?

Sorry Bro. but I was shocked at how bad "Lawless" was.  The shoot em up was pitiful and that stupid romance stuff was pathetic and just a poor movie all the way. It was poorly made and stupid!  Garbage. Nothing but garbage with that pic,  Horrible!!

I feel stupid by asking the question  What was one thing that made that movie appealing?

I had to burn a lot of leave time at the end of the year so I watched a lot of TCM movies and Tosh.O and covered lot of movies.  Christian Bale nailed it down in "The Machinist".  Nice piece of art.

Machinist was a movie I never heard of and accidentally watched it.  Very good.

Lonely Soldier was a great movie.  I rarely use the word great but that is what this movie was.  Great acting and a true story.  Very well done.

LeRink you are the first person I've read or heard who didn't like Pawn Shop Chronicles.  It was weird and different but entertaining.  

Vendetta is a British film and not real deep but a good revenge movie if you like that sort of thing.

Glyde I stopped watching Insidious 2 halfway through.  Total POS, wow can't believe they have the nerve to come out with a third movie.

A really good "feel good" movie.

I saw that in the theater and it was total waste of money and time.
Remake of " Goodfella"  in cheesy way.

Finally watched the final season of Dexter.

ehh meh.

Best thing about that series was the guest stars. John Lithgow and Jimmy Smits and them.

Platoon.

Great movie, a tad overrated but I really enjoyed the performance by Tom Berenger. Pretty dark feel throughout the entire movie, which I'm sure Oliver Stone intended.

Arlington Road (1999) Jeff Bridges, Tim Robbins.  Not bad.  Jeff Bridges teaches a terrorism class.  His wife is an FBI agent who is killed in the line of duty.  Tim Robbins plays the pissed off at the government terrorist.  He uses Bridges unknowingly to do his dirty work.

Leviathan (1989) Peter Weller, Richard Crenna.  Mining explorers under water find a sunken Russian ship that has some dangerous cargo on it.  The crew ends up dying one by one with the remaining trying to figure out how to get to surface alive.  If you go in the mindset that this will be very cheesy and even ridiculous then you might have fun with it.  A couple of hot babes in it.  And even Daniel Stern from Home Alone is in it.  I think this was a run of under water movies that appeared in the late 80s.
