Jodie Foster loses her child on a plane and spends most of the movie trying to figure out where she is. Sean Bean is the captain who thinks Foster is nuts and tries to keep her from disrupting the flight.
Keeps you interested even though the concept seems really farfetched. Foster is good at these kind of roles so that definitely helps the movie.

Prisoners -- Hugh Jackman and Jake Gylennhal.... was pretty good story about 2 families daughters being abducted, could have been shorter (2 1/2 hours) but it didn't drag too much.

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty was decent. Not sure if I could recommend it but it was worth a one time watch. The ending was perfect and not predictable. You will walk away from the film thinking not bad because of that ending.
Her with Scarlett Johansson but just the voice in a romance, you'll understand if you watch it. Very very original idea and not one that has been done before. Great acting all the way around.
The newest Total Recall what a shiit movie. Got half way through and turned it off.
doggs Foster is a great actress but when I heard of the plot it seemed too dumb to watch. Maybe I'll give it a try.

Bad Milo -- about a guy (Ken Marino) who has a polyp in his colon and when he gets stressed it comes to life and kills whoever is stressing him. Yes, it's a real movie, and it was actually pretty funny, had a storyline, and I enjoyed it.

Mark Wahlberg has some clunkers, but not this one. Lone Survivor was in my opinion his best movie. I liked Shooter as well. Didn't care much for Contraband.

Agree with post 8. Never know with a Wahlberg movie because most stink but this was a great movie.
Saw Dallas Buyers Club and a great performance acting wise by everybody but the movie it self which was very very good was far from a classic. I expected movie of the year with all of this hype and that is not this.

I'm BACK with three I think are worth watching >>>
Stand Up Guys (2012) gangster "buddy comedy" with Al Pacino, Christopher Walken, and Alan Arkin. thought it was VERY funny in spots esp the chase scene with old geezer Arkin showing off his skills as a getaway driver. short movie @ 95 minutes with pretty much non stop action. playing on EPIX channels
No One Lives (2012) "you done screwed with the wrong guy" "slasher" horror movie with oodles of blood and guts. I'm not usually into this type movie BUT the plot had some interesting "twists" and had excellent suspense. runs relatively short @ 86 minutes. playing on Starz channels
Safe House (2012) "spy vs spy" action thriller with Denzel Washington Ryan Reynolds, Brendan Gleeson, Sam Shepard and Ruben Blades. pretty much non-stop action and a VERY twisted plot with unknown operatives trying to kill Washington's character to prevent him from releasing damaging info about the CIA, MI 6, the Mossad and other foreign intell agencies. runs 115 minutes and has been playing on HBO channels

Kick-Azz 2 (2013) decent "fantasy action" movie but NOT nearly as good as the original. the older "Kick-Azz and "Hit Girl" didn't really work for me and the fight scenes and stunts were NO Way as good as the first one esp at the end. the character of "Red Mist" now named "The Motherfukker" is just plain stupid. DOES have SOME interesting fight scenes like where "MF's" gang member "Mother Russia" takes on a whole squad of cops. overall OK BUT wouldn't waste a PPV on it
Oblivion (2013) post-apocalyptic science fiction action film with Tom Cruise, Morgan Freeman, Olga Kurylenko and Andrea Riseborough. thought it was an interesting plot with a wierd twist to it and like most Cruise movies had plenty of action and excellent CGI. runs just over 2 hours and has been showing on HBO channels

can NOT pass up Infamous (2006) when it's on. the story of Truman Capote researching and writing in Cold Blood. stars Toby Jones as Capote, Sandra Bullock as his research assistant/writer Nell Harper Lee and a pre James Bond Daniel Craig as murderer Perry Smith. additional cast include Jeff Daniels as Kansas police detective Alvin Dewey and Lee Pace plays the other murderer Richard Hickock. Sigourney Weaver, Peter Bogdanovich, Isabella Rossellini and Gwyneth Paltrow play Capote's circle of society friends in New York.
the movie came one year too late as it was preceded by Philip Seymour Hoffman'sCapote for which he won the Best Actor Oscar. I have seen both and agree with New York movie critic Rex Reed that "They gave the Oscar to the wrong Truman Capote". I remember seeing Capote interviews on talk shows in the 1970's and I just think Jones captured his mannerisms and idiosyncrasies better than Hoffman did. also thought that Craig was a better Perry Smith and Bullock a more interesting Nell Harper Lee than the actors in the Hoffman movie.
have said it in previous months and I will say it again. IF you want to see great character acting this movie is definitely worth viewing. plays on HBO channels Friday Jan 31st @ 7:10 am and Sunday Fed 2nd @1:00 am and 4:00 am pacific times

You knew it was coming at the beauty pageant when the kid walked out on stage, but that was freakkin hilarious. Solid very funny movie. The strip club scene was amazing.
Some of the pageant scene was in the previews but the whole scene was good.....perfect song to go with it. The funeral scene was actually 20 minutes away from where I live. I've been in that funeral home a few times... they must have signed some sort of confidentiallity agreement because it's a pretty small town/area we have and there was never any mention of anything being filmed around here.

Ride Along - total shite. think I laughed 3 times total.
Wow - you actually paid $$ to actually find out that it sucks?! It looks AWFUL from the trailers. The trailers are supposed to show some of the funnier stuff - and NONE of them looked funny. Just that Kevin Hart douche yelling and acting ghetto. Ridiculous.

Gave it a try since it was short (1 hour, 20 minutes). Seemed more like a TV movie at times, was not terrible but nothing I would say go and see either. M. Knight Sham was involved but there were others who apparently wrote the screenplay and directed the movie. Otherwise, if it had been just him writing and directing, you know it would've been totally awful instead of just mediocre.

Yes, hopefully nobody else will have to waste their money, but seems to be doing quite well at the box office for some reason. Figured word of mouth would kill this movie after the first weekend.
