I just saw the movie "The worlds fastest Indian" and i must say it was a rare surprise.
I tell you this is one heck of a movie based on real events. I made me think, smile, and nod at weird persons he meet.
The story centers around Burt Monroe a cheerful new zealender (played wonderfully by Anthony Hopkins). His main interest is his racing bike, a 1920 Indian.
The story takes place in the 1960 ties and he dreams about going to America to race in speed week at Bonneville in Utah.
On his way there, a long journey he meet a lot of different people but always put up a positive "down under" attitude.
This movie has an 8 rating at imdb, and i would say it is one of the better movies i have seen in a while. It sort of in the same genre as "Into the wild" where a man go on a sort of journey to find himself.
A feel good movie, and based on real events. I recommend you all to see this one if you find it in your local rental or on the Internet.
Let me know what you think.
