Not going to go into a big explanation because most of these picks are favorites and the one supposedly controversial one (looking a lot less so now that the line is -1000) I defended in another thread.
I'll post the odds I got them at even though, as I noted in another thread, they have moved dramatically.
Best Picture: Slumdog, -700--one unit
Best Director, Boyle, -700--one unit
Best Supporting Actress, Cruz, -225--one unit
Best Supporting Actor, Ledger, -3300--three units (why not right? I'd bet my soul on it if they gave me better odds)
Best Actor, Mickey Rourke, -125--three units
Rourke at -135--two units
The only pick I have any real doubts about at this point is Cruz for BSA. But I feel like I will go undefeated and got in when the odds were worth betting on so that is worth posting. This is only my second year gambling and I plan on making films so it is degenerate heaven for me. MY only other movie bet was on The Dark Knight to top 150 million its opening weekend at -150, and if I had the money earlier I would have gotten it at +300 because I knew it would break the record the moment I heard about Legder.
Also threw 5 dollars on Jolie to win Best Actress at +1500. I know this pick is absolutely going to lose but I really liked her and it is only 5 bucks.
Good luck everyone. If everything goes as planned I'll make a little less than 500 profit (not counting money invested), mainly off Rourke.
