it's one of my and the wifes "must see" shows. really interesting to see the stuff that people bring in to pawn. really suprised what some things are worth.
also gotta love "Chum Lee". the kid's funny as hell.

anyone watch the latest with the Shelby Cobra body? DAMN!!! talk about hitting a HOME RUN!!! I knew those were huge collectors cars but 30K just for the BODY? and it was valued by Rick's Shelby Cobra dealer "expert" at 60K!!!
think that tow truck operator reported his 30K score to the IRS?

Rick made out like a bandit on that ships clock. the guy that sold it was really a dumb fuck for not getting it checked by a watch repair shop. those things are HUGE collectors items.
from the same show, I would love to see a follow up on the old "Charles Lindbergh" propeller. even IF it's not associated with Lindbergh, those old wood props are $$$ for aviation collectors.
thought the restoration on the old man's Imperial was a pretty bogus story. no way rick and big hoss would sell his classic car for a grand. IF it was true the old man would have either had a heart attack or killed both of them.
that guy that did the restore on the barber chair is really a talent. last season he did an old coke machine and classic gas pump that were complete wrecks and made them look like new.

gotta be some follow up about the balloon in a future show.
can't wait for next week. the "tease" was Chumlee makes wine and I guess it's real weasel piss. should be funny ass hell (but then anything Chum does usually is)

There was one episode where Big Hoss bought a Miami Vice type boat for 20K or 30K and his dad (Rick) didn't like it one bit. Boats dont sell very well, especially in Vegas. lol
actually there is a pretty good market for powerboats because of Lake Mead. Big Hoss got lucky with the boat because the repair costs were a lot lower that he and Rick though they would be.
I will be interested to see IF they have a follow up on the balloon. that deal looks like it could really come up shit.
btw, that "rice rocket" racing motercycle deal looked shady to me. the guy selling it was WAY to eager to take the low ball bid Big Hoss gave him. hope they checked the title

christmas show was excellent
had a lot of "followups" to how deals made in earlier shows worked out. Chumlee dressed as an elf was funny as hell along with the Old Man as the crabbiest Santa EVER!!!

"Rick's Bad Day" last week was unreal. 1st he over pays for a "prepetual motion" clock that needs major repair. THEN he buys an antique ball and chain and gives it to Chumlee to store and Chum carelessly breaks a glass case with the ball. THEN after after making what looks like a pretty good buy on a antique "chamber pot" chair, the old man is outside with Big Hoss when he's loading it into the pickup truck to deliver it to a buyer in North Las Vegas. Hoss is bitched off about having to do a shit detail and doesn't tie down the load or put the tailgate up. peels out and the chair falls off the truck and is destroyed.
you can book that IF Big Hoss wasn't family and Chumlee wasn't Hoss's childhood friend (along with being the "comic relief" for the show) BOTH their asses would have been FIRED on the SPOT!!!
sure hope those two kids NEVER get involved with aviation because SOMEONE would DIE!!!

come on....both of those "accidents" were such set ups. It wasn't even funny how obvious they make it.
may be true BUT Corey (aka Big Hoss) is an arrogant shit who thinks he knows it all, Chumlee is just plain dumb and BOTH are careless to the point of being dangerous.
