I went and saw this movie yesterday...

I thought it was awesome.  A little bit different than I expected the movie to be... without spoiling anything it was a little weird and had a few demented parts (but not scary)  Very good plot / story IMO

yeah it looks like a ghost/supernatural type movie, but I can't see Marty Scorsese doing a "ghost" movie. It does look very good though.

That's what I was expecting as well, but nothing like that... let me know what you guys think after you see it

Looked pretty cool Woop. 

I'm downloading The Wolfman now, and it isn't out on DVD yet.

I'm going to try Shutter Island, if successful, I'll watch it in about a half an hour on my computer.

I got Wolfman downloaded with Del Toto and Anthony Hopkins. Really pleased with how early I got that one.

Woop, going after downloading Shutter Island now.......

Agreed, not what I expected but was in no way a let down.  Definitely worth seeing at least once.

Lobotimization

It is surprising with final scenes and yes i was waiting haunt/ghost/exorcism type but still a terrific movie.Amazing directing and Di Caprio,even though i've first hated him because of titanic trend at the time (thought he s like hugh grant,romantic movie acting),the guy is terrific,blood diamond,departed etc u name it.

One of the best actors out hands down

The "twist" was a little too obvious but Leo was really good in it. Oscar-like performance.

Solid movie. Worth at least checking out.

yes but still 30% of the audience think it's double twist,wont tell the story since dont want to spoil for others but you know what i mean when i say double twist for final scene

too bad it wont be nominated for oscars,it was sent late i heard to the academy,but that makes them eligible for next year oscars.

di caprio is getting better and better,gangs of new york,blood diamond,departed,the shutter island

and next year another scorsese movie,di caprio will play theodor roosevelt

I agree.  I was expecting the movie to be more of a horror then psychological one ... overall i I was satisfied ...

Elsewhere - I know what you mean about the double twist. I picked up on it right away. Great movie from start to finish, 2 hours went by quick, Dicaprio does a great job, he's getting better with age. Scorcese hits it out of the park. Great character development, all in all great movie. I can't see how anyone will be dissappointed.

8.2/10  on IMDB right now , thats a great score for the movie

worth watching before the twist is well known and gets leaked by other who have watched

Great job by Leo! All the mentions of Gangs of NY had me pondering this question-"Who is the better actor, Leo or Daniel Day Lewis? DDL is badass as Bill the Butcher and as Daniel Plainview amongst other memorable characters. 

I tend to side with DDL.
