take it from me, I am far from a Trekkie, I know very little of the show/movies and never seen any of them....

bored last night and it looks like it has some good action so me and a couple of buddies went and saw it....

wow.....pretty damn good movie and you dont need to know anyhting about Star Trek....

   good action, some good fighting scenes, pretty funny and the girl in it is hot....

also first movie i've seen in IMAX...wow can't wait for transformers 2 in IMAX

 

      definatly worth going to see

I'm sold. I am also an IMAX virgin. Never been to one. Might as well do it with this Star Trek flick. Was going to do it with Watchmen, but I may have missed it.

Not embarrassed to say that I like Trek. Don't like the spin offs though.

I went and saw it last night at a late showing... very, very good movie.  You don't have to be a Trekkie to enjoy this either (I'm definitely not)

saw it tonight with 2 total non trekkies... i have only seen a handful of trek stuff

Just saw it at the theatre and, to paraphrase Tony The Tiger, "It was GRRREAT!" Not sure how the hardcore Trekkies will feel about it, but for the normal viewer, it had everything you would want from a summer blockbuster: action, great FX, smart dialogue, a little T&A and just an all-around good time. Highly recommended!

ok im sold .. only reason is beacuse im neither a trek fan but so many non fans are sayin its good

I've never seen an episode of Star Trek before but was bored today. AWESOME movie! A great experience at the theaters. I saw like 95% good reviews so figured why not. Very very good

Saw this last night and really enjoyed it - only watched about a handful of Star Trek episodes before, but as many have already mentioned you'll enjoy it even if you have no clue about the Star Trek franchise.

IMAX is only worth the experience if they use the correct cameras like they did with Dark Knight. Otherwise it's just a stretched out version of the original with a top of the line sound system.

Save your money folks. Star Trek doesn't have any IMAX scenes.
