Just saw it... good movie. Denzel was a beast as usual.

Denzel makes it OK.......otherwise terrible.....EXTREMELY preachy.....same ol apocalyptic nonsense we've seen many times before....but with less action....if (genuinely) religious...you will probably appreciate it ...if not.....stay away

so was he blind the whole movie? thats what they wanted you to think, but i'd have to watch it again cuz he did some things that a blind man couldnt....

it's a movie train jeez stop taking it so literal. Also some blind people have heightened senses like hearing or smell so he was able to hear and see things. There have been other movies like this like Blind Fury with Rutger Hauer for one, but it's fantasy. I am sure you said the same thing about The Sixth Sense, thinking he wasn't dead the whole time. I am sure people are also going to appreciate you spoiling the twist at the ending of the movie. You really are a douchebag.

What do you mean "dont take it so literal"? How else can you take it? I asked if he was blind the whole movie, never said it was stupid because it wasnt realistic (like you having a girlfriend for example...just lunacy)....

ok you got me I meant smell things and typed see.  I was thinking of smell when he smelled the guys without seeing them. Just like you made a typo as did I. Also you still are the biggest douche on the board and posting the twist in the movie proved that. I will take the biggest box award as I am what I eat.

* when dealing with the God thing......remember NOTHING has to make sense...(not religious).....all is explained by "it's God's will"...
* supposedly in the script it is revealed at the END.....he is now blind...suggesting that God gave him sight until his journey was completed...the director probably felt it was a good idea to leave it up to the audiences curiosity to decide whether he was blind or not (entire movie).....to create a buzz /discussion > make more $$$$$$$ 
       note:  in the bible Eli was a blind priest

isn't Eli the one that "spotted" Alcaraz?

stop picking on TRAIN....he didn't get to ride the LONG bus to school like most of us.....so i feel he deserves a little consideration

good points about the movie. I'd really have to watch it again to see things (reading with a flashlight). Also, his eyes wwrent glazed over in the earlier part of the movie (i think)

i agree...

 

this movie is nothing more than a 2nd rate version of "The Road" with The Bible as a central character... Denzel does a good job, but it's not his best role by any stretch of the imagination...

go see "The Road"... screw this movie...

Saw this movie expecting something great, since Denzel is the man, and left disappointed. Movie was too slow moving for me and it just did not keep my interest.
