'The Walking Dead' on AMC

Anybody watch this series?  I just finished watching all 4 episodes.  I like what I've seen.  The series is only 6 episodes, though.  I believe it's been picked up for a second season already.  Good stuff, in my opinion.  A pleasant surprise.  Thoughts?

really impressed with amc.  never seen mad men but obviously the quality is very good.  my favorite show on tv is breaking bad, just absurdly good. and now the walking dead is really great.

surprised by how graphic it can get though.  kinda love that.

i have it taped.  someone else around here recommended it.
jayg, i think mad med is the best show on tv now and one of the top 5 of all time.  i suggest checking it out from the beginning.

jay, i completely agree with you.  I watched the first season of Breaking Bad then lost interest, maybe i should get back into it.  The Walking Dead is over the top graphic at times.  I like it.

 

ClubDirt, definitely start at the beginning with The Walking Dead.  I've heard good things about Mad Men as well but havent had the time.  Boardwalk Empire is my current favorite show on television.

fade, you have to check out season 2 and 3 of breaking bad.  the storyline is just crazy (they rival the mexican mafia) and the acting is superb.  brian cranston does some things with this character that just amazed me.    def check it out.

What scenes of the walking dead are over the top?  I haven't seen the most recent episode, and now that I think about it probably havent seen the one before it either but they are recorded, I'll get around to em.

fade, keep up with breaking bad.  it's one of the best.  the firsts eason was good but it gets better as it goes. 

i have the walking dead shows on tivo.  i watched the first one and haven't gotten around to the second yet.  i have boardwalk empire waiting on netflix.  i'm looking forward to it.

The first 2 episodes of the walking dead were slooow, but I guess you'll have that with most new shows.

There's been four episodes so far, they get increasingly better in my opinion.

I want the blonde mom to die next... the scene with her standing over the zombie daughter dragged on way too long.

I realize this show is about the people and not the zombies, but you would think a show called "The Walking Dead" would have....well....you know ....the walking dead in it.

In the last episode walkers had less than one minute of air time.

Ya you can tell the budget is running thin in this episode. A lot of filler type stuff. Like the guy fucking around in the underground bunker by himself. That was like a 15 minute scene that should have been no more than 6-7 mins.

That scene didn't even need to be in the show.  Disappointing...

Good news is they are re-airing old breaking bad episodes after the walking dead
