So glad my wife dragged me to the theater to see this movie.

I have caught up on a few Oscar films and in my estimation this one will come close to sweeping.

This movie is messy and invigorating and infuriating. So is real life in America.

I’ll take “Three Billboards” over a fish-man fantasy, any day.

Do yourself a favor guys, and enjoy this poignant film of Americana.

I haven&#x27;t seen 3 Billboards but that doesn&#x27;t mean to rate del Toro who always satifies. Del Toro has babe/frog sex in his so you might want to reconsider.

OVERRATED&#xA; &#xA;The typical American movie-goer (who doesn&#x27;t like to think much at the movies) will probably think this is great movie making and like it a lot&#xA;  * I thought it was way too uneven....a Coen brothers movie directed by a substitute guy when they called in sick maybe&#xA;Extreme 2017 racism...complete with torture / &#x27;happy&#x27; AND midget hate wtf.....lotta stuff we didn&#x27;t need IMO...performances carried the movie anyway .....go back and watch other Frances McDormand movies instead....like Fargo (much better)...or Blood Simple.....overall I would call it a fine movie...but maybe &#x27;unsatisfying&#x27; IMO&#xA; &#xA;Shape of Water?....a foreign flick with no sub-titles kinda sorta&#xA; * a work of art ....definitely not for most guys here...who will REDUCE it to monster sex ha....it&#x27;s a FANTASY holy crap man (like Pan&#x27;s Labryinth).....performances here MATCH and better those in (other movie with STUPID title)....it&#x27;s about loneliness / DESPAIR / redemption &gt; search for love ...happiness.... acceptance&#xA; Sally Hawkins WILL win best actress (maybe solid wager?)...Richard Jenkins and that Michael Shannon were awesome as well...Octavia Spencer great as always....I loved this movie and will see it again (ordered the musical score CD too)

JUst saw it..........Great acting but terrible story line.....Nothing really happens in this movie.

Easy to agree with most people here. Shape of water deserves winning the best picture fpr the academy awards. Although 3 billboards have top acting, Shape of water has better story, music, direction and production design. This monster love story is unique, outstanding, and hard for any director to achieve.

Agree with those who say really good acting in 3 Billboards but not a great storyline. I thought Harrelson was at his best. McDormand very good and Sam Rockwell excellent. However, if I was going to give an award to Rockwell it would have been for Seven Psychopaths, where he was nothing short of outstanding.
