This TV program depicts CEO's as nice sweet lovable people who are so concerned about their employees that they go incognito to work with them so see how they can improve their Company..
At the end of undercover week, the boss returns to true identity, and calls in the selected employee to corporate headquarters. Then the sweet little boss rewards selected hardworking employee with bonuses, gifts, vacations.
In the last episode, the CEO came flying home in his corporate jet, and paid off one employee's 150,000 mortgage. He had been with the company for 10 years.
THEY MAKE ME SICK !. How about paying their employee who is busting their ass a freaking decent salary ! 15,000 a year more in wages and he probably wouldn't have that mortgage.
Guess they get to feeling a little guilty about taking millions in salary from the company, and throw a few peanuts at them. I suppose they can sleep better at night. I wanted to barf !

With all due respect ...when you say " we often let off topic stuff stay "....in regards to TV show threads this has not been the practice..as exhibited by the more than a hand full of TV political threads that ended up being re-located to the Movies & TV Forum just this year ...e.i.:
So is the rule or principle for evaluating what stay's .. the subject matter or who is the one posting the off-topic stuff ?

WSC,

Read it again Slim, I didnt specify, rather that things are allowed to stay and often dont get moved.
We both know what you are doing and why. The thread was barely 10 minutes old and you were on the case to try and bust balls. Those threads you linked above, how many of them were you suggesting the very same within 10 minutes of creation, if at all?

Why do you find it necesssary to call me names ... a troll,a complainer and attempt to belittle me by saying, that I have a history of posting garbage just to prove a point ?
Here's what we both know ...TV threads are allowed to stay in the Political Forum and are NOT re-located.. if in fact they are one's, that you watch and approve of their political target ..
If, I was wrong in requesting the thread to be moved..why did you move it in barely 7 mins after the request ?
Go ...
I'll let you have the last word ..

WSC,
Rather than debate the issue in a civil matter ..

I moved it because it had merit to be moved, either area was fine but it was deserving to be here.
Sorrry WSC, I know I said I'd give you the last word, but ....
You just proved my point the thread deserved to be moved to the TV Forum ..and I should not have been called out as a troll ,,just because I requested that it be moved to the correct venue...Regardless if it was one of your TV viewing favorites..
In fact it needed to be re-located before my request ...around the time you were cheering last weeks episode in your post would probably have been a good time ..
As a far as saying, that I should focus on content related debating and discussion...I don't watch reality TV shows ..I think they are staged, so I guess that leaves me out ...

I've been a big fan of this show since it started, just because it is lighthearted entertainment. The CEO's on the show are generally depicted as somewhat down to earth and have their own personal issues, such as a parent who had died or issues with their children. This past episode, the CEO came off like a goon, yet he was super generous at the end. Yea its true, they see a lot of problems such as understaffing or people just getting underpaid, but I'm sure at least some things change after the taping.

It amazes me how a CEO has to go on TV to find out what's wrong or not working in their organizations. They obviously don't visit the field & speak with employees on a regular basis. They throw some money around & look like these great leaders for addressing a handful of employee personal problems. What a crock of shit!

Midnight1- You do have a point. I am sure a lot do that procedure, but here they benefit as well as the network. Also, the whole episode is essentially an infomercial for their company.

I heard that show was fake. I watched it when it first aired and it did seem rather corny.
and SarasotaSlim is a SAF asshole.
Agree on the show, but never have and will never watch. We all know for a fact Slim is an SAF. And a troll with the sole purpose of being a complete dick
Histrionic personality disorder. It's sad
