Pandorum (2009) SciFi action thriller film with Dennis Quaid and Ben Foster (played the character of Steve McKenna in "The Mechanic"). IF you liked the Alien-Aliens series, you would probably like this. had excellent action, some good "startle" scenes and a really wierd "unexpected twist" at the end. ONLY problem I had with the movie was the sound track was kind of "arty-smarty" recorded and the dialog was hard to understand at times.
was on ENCORE a few times recently. hopefully they will screen again in the near future

The Beautician and the Beast (1997) just happen to watch on Cinemax one night and it's pretty funny for a "chick flik". has almost a Marx Brothers feel to it with a lot of back and forth between Fran Drescher as beauty school teacher Joy Miller (the beautician) and Timothy Dalton as the small eastern european country dictator Boris Pochenko (the beast). also had a bunch of pretty funny sight gags. a fun movie to watch

From the first page, Running Scared with Paul Walker is a trip. Very under-rated movie.
City of God is one of the best movies ever made. Some scenes are so real it feels like your watching a documentary.

Russian movie Nightwatch. I got it in English but you can get it subtitled. Russian graphic novel with some vampires but not Twilight much more Bladerunner. A lot like Bladerunner.
Tis easier for a man to extinquish the light within then to fight the darkness that surrounds him.

The King's Speech (2010). watched on Showtime last night and was as good as the hype IF your into pure English historical drama and acting. had more of a stage play than movie feel to it.
only criticism I can come up with is that Timothy Spall who played Winston Churchill didn't look or sound anything like the man. would have been better off casting Ian McNeice who played Churchill in some Doctor Who episodes.
it's on Showtime numerous times this week. ref >>> https://www.sho.com/site/movies/movie.do?seriesid=0&seasonid=0&episodeid=140163
