I suspect I'll be the only one posting anything in here. This is the type of country music I'm talking about. One of my favorite songs from any genre.

I've decided I'm in love with Hilary Scott from Lady Antebellum, so here are a few more:

And on a related note, if your book takes Grammy action (unfortunately, mine does not), I think "Need You Now" is an unbelievably solid bet at +350 for Song Of The Year, +1000 for Album Of The Year and +500 for Record Of The Year. The only real competition is from Eminem, but the Grammys have been pretty reluctant to award Hip Hop any of the major awards (nominate yes, award no). Meanwhile, a country album has won Album Of The Year 2 out of the last 4 years (Dixie Chicks and Taylor Swift). I would be very surprised if it doesn't win at least two of the three.

As my friend used to say (guitar player in my old band)....."New country is just bad rock-n-roll."  ....and agree with him 100%, it really is. 

I really like the "outlaw" country genre...Waylon, Willie, Cash, Kristofferson, Haggard, DAC, etc.

You cant go wrong with just bout all of Hank Sr. xcept some of the gospel stuff. Alot of people think ole Hank was all doom & gloom, which is wrong.
